Good organic Inulin
I use inulin daily and have done for some time as it is a great way to get fibre in to your diet which even if you eat healthily can be hard to get the recommend 30g a day. I usually have Inulin from chicory root so was excited to try this agave type I also love the fact this Yin & Yang is organic, however maybe as it is agave is why it costs more and while I did like it will go back to my more affordable chicory root Inulin.. I will also say for anyone new to any type of inulin to start by only using a half of teaspoon and working up to the recommend amount as can be a bit of a shock to your system adding that much fibre if your body isn't used to it and can cause bloating and gas. I also have a teaspoon in a herbal tea before bed as it can also aid sleep. It dissolves well in hot drinks and is tasteless although it is like all inulin has a very slight sweet taste. Also if you are buying, decant into another container as zip lock bag ok for transport but not great for daily opening & closing.

Sweet but otherwise neutral flavour
This is a review for the Yin & Yang Superfoods Store organic inulin prebiotic fibre powder. As someone with an interest in gut health, I've been interested in trying an inulin powder for a while. I was therefore delighted to get the opportunity to give this one a try.The powder is very fine (similar consistency to icing powder). It has a mildly sweet flavour, but doesn't otherwise taste of much. There is no unpleasant aftertaste and it wasn't detectable in the food/drinks I made with it.I've so far tried it in both smoothies, where it added a subtle sweetness, and pancakes (as a replacement for part of the flour) where it made them a bit more fragile. In both, it worked well with no significant negative effects. As a precaution against unwanted GI side effects, I have made sure not to exceed the recommended 14g in one day, and have also avoided using it on consecutive days. I've not had any issues doing this, and am happy to start trying a daily portion. The powder is quite expensive. This bag contains just under 18 portions. You would need to spend almost £200 per year on this powder, in order to use it every day.The main negative about this product for me, is that the bag it comes in is not fit for purpose. It has a seal closure that is supposed to be reusable. However, because the powder is so fine, it blocks the track of the seal and this means that it can't be closed again. The powder is also very quick to absorb moisture from the atmosphere (resulting in a sticky icing like substance) so it's extra-important that it's stored in something with a good seal. I'd suggest transferring it to a glass jar with a well-fitting lid, but it would be better if the supplied bag was more effective.

Easy to take, no noticeable flavour in my breakfast.
This agave inulin is easy to take. I have been adding this to my morning granola and I haven't noticed any negative impact on the taste. There are sources online that outline the supposed benefits of taking this supplement. I haven't personally noticed any particular benefit that I could reliably attribute to this one change alone. The recommended dose is 14g per day. That means there are ~18 doses in this bag. To me, that feels a little on the low side. This agave inulin is selling for £9.99 at the time of this review. That's approximately 56p per dose. I suppose the perception of value for money depends on your perceived benefits from taking it. Right now I'm on the fence.
