Great antenna
Perfect- worked better than expected. I am a feeder for FR24.

This is great for the price.
I added this to my ADSB setup and within 5 minutes my range was incredibly better. I mounted it outside and added a 1090 mhz saw filter and I'm seeing aircraft all over the PNW. I couldn't be any happier. By far this is the best antenna I've purchased for my exchange server.

Not a super star but good bang for the cost. 160 mile sight.
Review update: I dropped from 4 to2 hard. This antenna is a brass tube dipole with a gain of 2.5 dbi. I bought 2 to check for consistency, and they are similar, still off. This is NOT a duel band. This is NOT a high gain. This is a standard dipole. Buyer beware; if you are going for high gain stay away. If you need an elementary dipole that's weather rated use this. Just so you know. You can buy the PCB dipole for adba and have the same performance for 25% of the cost and it's not misleading. You can add 3/16 of an inch on the coax line for better performance with resonation, but you need to have network analyzer that can tune that high for best dipole performance.First this antenna does not have its primary resonance on 1090 no 978 mhz. The 2 bands this antenna claims will be fundamental resonance, which will reduce performance. Thats not all bad, for those that don't know, its common practice when making multi band antennas and some other types. The coax type is all wrong for the frequencies you will be using it on. I would recommend you replace it with an RG or LMR series that actually is designed to work at these frequencies (min RG213 LMR240, ideal RG400 or LRM 400). Now the cable is not a long run so the loss compared to like LMR600 will likely not be day and night difference for the average person. The cable seem reasonably built and would work for outside installation, just don't forget to wrap your connectors with a water tight tape.So the sight of this antenna appears to be around 160 miles. Not bad.Attached is the spectrum analyzer of the antenna, you get your additional data from that. The construction is appears ok, the plastic taste like abs. Its looks as pictured, and would likely paint well with a paint designed for plastic just fine.

A nice antenna that does the job but not the best.
I needed another 1090 MHz antenna but not an expensive one. This one fit the bill and I'm happy with it. There are better ones out there but since I am using this for experimenting with, I was not interested in a high gain expensive antenna, I already have a high gain antenna for my main receiver.

A general purpose antenna for a special purpose use? Is this what you really want?
You'd be interested in this antenna if you wanted to get ADSB signals from area aircraft and compatible ground equipment (if you're near an airport). This means you're really only interested in good performance on a couple of radio frequencies, and you don't need an antenna that can work well-enough on other frequencies, too. You also want to pick up the weakest, most distant signal - or that signal from a low-flying craft from as far away as possible. So you (typically) want an omnidirectional high gain antenna tuned for the ADSB frequencies. Now that you know what you want, you should know this is not a high gain antenna, and it isn't optimized for the ADSB frequencies. Add losses in the included cable and you start to wonder why this kit was made at all.So it breaks down like this:- Doing ADSB reception indoors? Having an outdoor antenna may help. At the right price, consider this kit.- Doing ADSB reception outdoors, but with your cheap indoor antenna? At the right price, an upgrade with this kit can get you more reception, and you should consider it.- Want to snap up as many ADSB transmission as you can? This kit is not for you.I hope this review was of help in your selection.

This antenna works well.
It worked well for a couple months, but I can't say much more than that as my receiving equipment has failed. It did seem to have a much wider range than the little black rubber whip I started with, and as soon as I can get a new receiver, I'll get it hooked up again.

A Dual Band ADS Antenna That Delivers
I recently acquired this dual band ADS antenna and I’m compelled to share my excellent experience. The antenna is decently priced, which is a breath of fresh air in a market where you often must choose between quality and affordability.Upon unboxing, I could immediately tell that this antenna is durable. It has a robust build that reassures me of its longevity, even in the face of the elements or the test of time. This is exactly what I need for a worry-free operation.Installation was a breeze, and once properly set up, the antenna works as advertised. The signal strength is consistently strong, and the dual band functionality allows for a versatile range of uses. It’s a relief to have a product that lives up to its promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re in the market for a reliable and sturdy dual band ADS antenna that won’t let you down, this is the one to go for. It’s a top-notch product that offers great value for money and performance you can count on.
