Good camera

[I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest review, as part of the Amazon Vine programme. That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]I requested the ‘HYCENCY Wireless Indoor Camera 4K Wi-Fi Cam with App Control Audio Video Recording’ to keep an eye on the porch and front door (from inside the house), as a security measure when packages are delivered etc.The camera arrived in a tidy little box. It is not as small as the seller’s images would have you believe but that doesn’t matter to me as it is not for spying! It attached neatly to the inside of the window reveal and has been in place for a couple of weeks now. I was worried that the sticker wouldn’t hold but so far, so good.The images are of a decent enough quality although I doubt that they are 4K. They are definitely adequate for my purposes. I like that the camera works on a ball type fixing and has a great deal of flexibility in terms of viewpoints.It would have been nice had an SD card been provided but it’s not a deal breaker. The app works well and it was easy to add the camera to my Wi-Fi. Overall I think this camera is good value for money and a much cheaper way to keep an eye on the front door than the doorbell branded alternative. At £45.99 at the time of this review, I would recommend this camera. 4 stars.

This little camera is perfect for my needs as a Guinea Pig camera (see photo) Piggies are shy by nature and it is reassuring to be able to spy on them to make sure they are happy, eating and content when they think no-one is looking. Plus, it is good fun because they are hilarious little creatures!I found this camera very easy to set up, along with the app, on my iPhone. I didn't use a storage card as I am mainly concerned with viewing the piggies in real-time, although there is also limited playback cloud storage. I think you can upgrade this for a subscription if you want to.While you are watching live you can even zoom in via the app for greater detail and then zoom back out again. I am a little concerned about having the technology on my phone as I am not very tech-savvy but as I am only using the camera to watch my adorable piggies in their piggy room this isn't such a big issue for me.The app also records sound as well as visuals so this is something to bear in mind too. All-in-all, I think it's a neat little package, suitable for my needs, although a little pricey so I've dropped one star.
