Great Product. Upgraded rating.
I had initially given this product a poor review because I was not able to install the configuration software on my laptop. However, after overcoming some difficulties in contacting customer service, I was able to connect with Doris from tech support. Doris was very patient and walked me through several troubleshooting tasks via email. Finally, she suggested a video call and we quickly determined that I needed to run the installation program as an Administrator. After that, I was able to install the configuration software successfully. By the way, you do not need to configure the device unless you want to change the time zone and some of the start/stop default settings. This product is well constructed, rugged and performs Temperature and Humidity data logging effectively. After you complete your data logging, you just connect the device to your computer's USB port. It appears a s a USB drive and you can download either a CSV file or a PDF file (or both). This function works flawlessly and the PDF document presents device data in an organized, professional format; complete with graphs and summary data. For the price, it is difficult to beat this product.

Software Not Available
This looks like it could be a good product but the link to the software you need to use it on their website is broken. Just gives a 502 error and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere else.

Pretty cool data logger.
Ok, so I did not need this for anything official. I just wanted one because I'm a huge dork. I have one complaint only. When you are done and go to insert this back into a computer to either stop and recording or to export the data, it will generate the pdf report BEFORE actually connecting to the computer. Im not sure if this is because I'm a Mac user. But as far as I can tell it takes a moment to generate the PDF report and THEN it connects to the computer. Once I understood this, flawless usage. But before I was ripping my hair out trying to get it to show up as a connect drive and to let me view the report in the software. Nope, just wait a sec, then it connects then the software works great. The report is really cool too. Overall this thing works really well.

Setup is impossible.
I gave up, I hoped that this would help track shipments in the cold weather, it's incredibly hard to set up the app, and I'll look for an easier to use device instead of trying to get this to work. The instructions are asking for a secondary device code on the back of the unit, and there is no such thing. Gave 1 star to be able to leave a comment. I wish I read the comments before buying.

Works Well But Incredibly Hard to Setup
Lets start with the good: Once setup it works really well. The recording parameters are easily changed in the software. The PDF report works great with no need to even open the software to view it. The report is generated automatically and when you plug the unit into your computer it open just like a thumb driver where you can view the PDF report, A CSV file with all data in it and a calibration file. Now for the Bad: The instructions do not emphasize several key points. The unit MUST be configured before you use it. Make sure the Stop button is set to "Allow" and the option to restart needs to be set to "Allow" also. THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM to remember is that the unit is set from the factory for a 30 minute start delay***** this means that it will look like it's not in record mode when you press the start button but it actually is. While in the "Start Delay" mode NOTHING WORKS!!! The 30 minutes has to elapse before the unit can be used PERIOD!!!!! Don't think the unit has locked up because it hasn't. There is an hourglass looking icon on it's display and the blue light will flash every 10 seconds while in the "Delay" mode. The 30 minute delay is important because it allows the logger to acclimate to the environment it is installed in prior to it starting to log. Otherwise the logger will show an out of range "HI" temperature in the reports. The software does not work well on Windows 11 but works fine on my Windows 10 Laptop. In Windows I have to start the software twice. the first time you start it it opens a Frigga window that's blank. This window can not be closed. You have to open the task manager and kill the process to get it to close. So, start the software... let the blank window open the start the software again. The second time it will open the software correctly and ask you to insert the logger so it can read it. Once you insert the logger Windows will try to open it as a thumb drive or it will ask you if you want to copy it's contents somewhere (in my case it's wanting to copy to dropbox). just close that window and the software will read the logger. The logger that was sent to me had a battery that basically was dead after the first 12 hour test I did. I installed a new battery and it is working well after a couple of 24 hour test so I assume the battery that was in it from the factory was already low.One last thing: there is an expiration date on the logger. I'm not sure what that means but I assume it will either not function after that date (three years away) or it will not be certified after that period. Who know??After getting all the software to function on both my desktop and laptop computers, changing the battery and figuring out how to use this logger I'd probably buy it again but I have an Eltech that works well with a little less initial hassle. Time will tell.

Multi-Use USB Temperature Logger
There are many uses for the Frigga M2D Reusable Temperature Data Logger. One example is in the transportation of cold objects such as food or pharmaceuticals. These products often require proof that the shipment did not experience any warm bouts along the route and the goods have been kept within a certain temperature range. There is an LED alarm function that alerts if the data gets out of the pre-settable envelope. It's easy to set up logging conditions including delayed start, logging intervals, temperature units, time zones and temperature alarm ranges using the Frigga Data Software (Available through the website).Using the software, you can manipulate and analyze your downloaded data providing charts and analysis. That can then be exported to Excel or .pdf format.I'm using these two loggers in a simple data gathering project...I am comparing the temp between the upstairs and the downstairs of our house over time. I would also like to get some specific spots around the homestead. It's nice to be able to place these loggers around, come back later and pick them up, and then go explore the data.

Cannot be managed or configured without their proprietary Windows-only software.
I would not have bought this if I had realized that prior to purchase. Why not make a way to configure it that isn't dependent on one specific platform?
