Awesome fishing kayak!
The manual pump is crap! The little mattress pump that it comes with is okay for getting some air into the kayak quickly but will not get it to full pressure. The mattress pump is also good for deflating the kayak. It really needs some sort of connector to mate with the inflation ports. I use a battery powered inflator to pump it up.The kayak itself is awesome! Very stable, very dry. Tracks well. The seat is comfortable. I'm 6ft 250lbs and the overall fit is good. I've had mine since spring of 2024 and I have fished lakes and creeks every weekend when the weather was good. There is plenty of room for gear. Railblaza rod holders work fine with included mounts.I wouldn't go dragging it across the rocks in shallow streams but as long as you have about 1 ft of water you'll be fine.

Too much money!
Very expensive paddleboard with a seat! Not worth the price.Only use on flat water it will not do well in wind and waves.Interesting idea but missed the mark on the cost. FYI Because of the floor design once its wet on the inside you will never be able to dry it out.Accesseries bar is in the way and rod holder components are very spendy. Not worth it!

First thoughts
I haven’t taken it out on the water. This is just my initial impressions. Inflated, the boat looks and feels amazing, though like I said, I haven’t used it on the water yet. While I do think this kayak is going to be great here’s my complaints. The battery powered electric pump seems like some cheap $3 dollar generic pump. Which I guess would be fine if it actually fit on to the kayak like the hand pump. The hand pump allows you to screw into the inflation port. The electric pump comes with 3 adapters none of which screw into the inflation port at all and allows allot of air to blow by. So you have to finish pumping the kayak by hand if you want to get it to the recommended PSI. Also you definitely don’t want to pump the whole kayak by hand it’s a tiresome process to say the least. I tried seeing if the hand pump hose (also cheaply made) fit to electric pump and it does not. Really a poor design as if you’re on a trip you would have to haul the electric pump and the bulky hand pump if you wanted to add air etc. All of which is fixed if you added a screw on adapter for the electric pump. The bag: It’s pretty cheap too, not that it matters too much, how ever you can’t fit everything into the bag, kayak, seat, pumps etc. which is also frustrating. All of the effort went into the design of the kayak it seems. And everything else is just a cheaply made/out-sourced afterthought. Also not that big of deal but when you’re charging this much for a kayak everything should be quality in my opinion. Will update if I have any issues with the kayaks performance. Though I don’t think I will so I’m going to give it 4 stars for now.Update: I have taken it fishing several times. The exterior feels as durable as it could possibly be. The interior not so much. So they have a measuring tape on the floor of the kayak to measure your fish right? I would advise against this. Also do not just boat flip your fish in the kayak. I have acquired several punctures from various fish’s fins in the floor of the kayak. I’m certainly not going to call customer service and just piss my self off, as I know how that will go. But I’m going to patch them and then lay some sea deck or something over the floor where the fish land. Frustrating. This kayak could have been perfect, but they truly cut cost and corners every where possible. Because of the price I would say this is 3 stars at best now. It’s advertised as a fishing kayak….. but I’m having to be way to cautious in it, and now having to modify it to do what the company sold it to do originally. Definitely not worth the price. Cant really do anything about that now. But this kayak at best is worth $500, and honestly that’s generous.

First Inflatable - Perfect for Me
Very impressed with the kit and the kayak itself with one glaring exception. The included electric pump is an insult to the quality and attention to detail put into this package. Even with 4 brand new D batteries, it is awkward and barely effective at inflating the boat, even to a couple pounds. I urge Wilderness Systems to consider including an electric pump in this kit befitting the quality of the boat. Think about it, folks that invest at this level aren't interested in fiddling with a pump that doesn't cut it. A fast, efficient and easy inflate/deflate experience is what the market would expect from a kit like this. Personally, I would pay another $100 for the same kit that included something like the TOPUMP TPS260, which is what I happen to buy for mine, separately. It is PERFECT for this boat and will inflate to full pressure in just a few minutes. Please give it some thought, Wilderness Systems! PS: GREAT PRODUCT!

Nice inflatable fishing kayak
First don't even bother with the the battery operated pump that included. Throw it out or keep it for you kids pool toys. The hand pump works as it should but I already had a 12v pump from an isup I previously had. That is the only way to go. The manual says max pressure is 15psi, while the valves say 10-12psi. I inflated to 12psi and at that pressure the kayak is very rigid. While I have about 12 years of kayak and paddle board experience, I wanted to take it out just to paddle and get the feel of it. I was very impressed how well it tracked, the built in front skeg or keel really makes a difference. You won't set any speed records, but with it being an inflatable and having a flat bottom thats to be expected. The boat turns easily. It was windy today, and I realized I will need an anchor or some kind of drag sytem or anchor stake while fishing. The stability of this boat is awesome. I'm 68 years old and 225lbs. and I can stand up with very little problem. I attached a 2ft. choker sling to the equipment rail to pull me up. It is also very stable paddling in the high seat position, which is probably where I'll fish from most of the time. I've ordered some Yak Attack gear to rig it up. As for fish putting holes in the deck as another reviewer has posted, hey it is an inflatable vessel which you do need to be careful but you should probably be using a net. So initially my only cons are the kind of cheep foot rests, and the way they are held in. But I think I may have a hack for that. The recessed drain plug under the seat, is in fact a drain plug and not a scupper plug hole. Water will enter if you leave the cap off. Will it sink you, I highly doubt it, you'll just get water on the floor. My overall impression of this kayak is good, as far as durability only time will tell.
