Side awning great for privacy
We love our side awning. We have a high porch and wanted to block out the neighbors junk and give some privacy. As you can see by the picture, it is a wee bit windy. We don’t leave it up in high winds or rain. It was easy for my husband to install.

Great Privacy Screen
This worked for us as a privacy screen next to our hot tub. We had tried shades, but they were too see-through. This shows shadows if there is a light on either side, but it is very private. It has stood up well in the wind also. It will luff like a sail at the top when there is a 30+ mph wind, but it doesn’t affect the privacy. We highly recommend for this purpose.

We will see in wind
One month update: after it got rained on it is now stretched to droop a foot. This means my neighbors can see over the 5 foot fence. Florida sun is not shrinking back. No tears anywhere and cleans easily. I am rolling back when not outside or windy.It does looks nice. I’m not sure how well stitching will hold up since it was moving a lot in 8mph wind. It is probably better if you have a wind break like bushes or walls. Mechanics are made really well. The screws are cheap and you probably want to replace with ones that won’t rust or grind down easily. Make sure to buy a masonry bit for concrete block or patio and have a large drill bit for a wood deck. It is easy to assemble alone as long as you can get through any concrete. Very smart way they attach pole so no worry of lining up.

Very pleased with this.
We installed a hot tub on our elevated back porch this spring. Awesome but we were in plain view of multiple neighbors. This was just large enough to span an opening that gave us privacy when we wanted it. Putting it up went well, construction seems fine. Has always retracted correctly and have had zero issues with it. We done use it on windy days as I think that might be an issue. Very happy with it.
