My favorite dash so far.
Easy to install. Great functionality. A bit expensive but you get your money's worth with this one.

Top shelf dash cam
Amazingly easy installation. Incredible picture quality. A very user-friendly friendly UI on the app. It stands up to the Florida heat with no issues. There will be one of these in all my vehicles.

Not worth the money
This thing malfunctions constantly. We've replaced it and the new one has issues too. The footage is high quality but there is a chip malfunction often where it tells me to insert a chip despite the fact that it's in, and it has a cloud connection issue and tells me to insert my SIM card when it's already in there. It also will randomly cycle on and off over and over and over again. For this much money it should not have this many glitches.

VIOFO has better video but…
The media could not be loaded. Update:::Return/exchnageMaking a high pitch sound. Read on a forum happened to someone with lte they exchanged and replacement had no high frequency soundAlthough the competition has better video specifically VIOFO, the one up BlackVue has that I felt I needed is the cloud service for real time notifications of events. I wish they weren’t being so lazy upgrading this dash cam. The premium charge is most likely due to supporting your cloud service. You’re going to start losing customers which probably has happened already. Why not put a starvis 2 also in the rear? Why not have HDR? Ok cool you have a faster shutter speed but I think having better dynamic range would be better especially since it seems like the competition is winning with the most important thing about a dash cam. Video footage and image quality. At least HDR would be a firmware update. Can we at least get that? Second guessing if I want to keep this. I mean haven’t had a dash cam in over a year so not sure why it’s really that important for me now to get one that would notify me of something real time now. We’ll see how this goes.Could be 5 stars but image quality isn’t as good as others, so until you at least match them this is where you’ll be.

Solid Video Quality with Room for Improvement
I recently installed this Blackvue dual-channel dashcam in my car, and while the video quality is decent, it could be better. The front camera has 4K resolution, offering a sharp view of the road ahead, including details like street signs.. However, the rear camera lags behind in Full HD, providing a less crisp picture compared to the front. On a positive note, both cameras handled low-light conditions nicely. The STARVIS 2 sensor in the front camera delivers clear images even at night or during heavy rain.Extensive Viewing Angles: The front camera is great with its ultra-wide 146-degree viewing angle, capturing a amazing, almost panoramic view of the road. The rear camera also offers a good 131-degree angle, sufficient for monitoring behind your vehicle.Convenient Cloud Access (with a caveat): The built-in Wi-Fi and optional LTE connectivity allow you to access footage remotely using the BlackVue Cloud app. This is a great feature for checking in on your car, but keep in mind that LTE connectivity requires a separate subscription. $$$Parking Mode with Protection: The parking mode with a built-in voltage monitor provides peace of mind when your car is parked. It automatically triggers recording upon detecting movement and safeguards your car battery from draining.Overall, this dashcam delivers solid video quality with some drawbacks. The significant price tag, coupled with the slightly lower resolution rear camera, makes it a 4-star choice for me. It seems comparable to the slightly less expensive BlackVue DR970X-2CH LTE 4K dual cameras, which lacks the built-in nano SIM for LTE connectivity. Even the much less dual cam RedTiger may be a better choice if you want to save a few bucks. This camera is still top tier though.

personally dont think its worth it price
not here to bash the dashcam, it works fine picks up audio like any other dashcam. camera quality is decent not the best, not sure if its because I got tint making the color like a little weird. It will get the job done. But im my personal opinion not worth $600.
