Good value blades, but please be cautious that they will suit you.
This is a wonderful selection of blades, some quite hard to find. Good value also. The blades are thick and sturdy, so they suit me fine for crafts. I am unsure what a medical student would make of them though? Most of my blades were sharp, but only "craft blade" sharp I would have said, not as sharp as you would expect of scalpels. Maybe that is because I got used to Swann-Morton blades and handles. They really are the gold standard, and these blades and handles are nothing like as good. Then again they are nothing like the price either...Trying to use the blades with the handles is just not worth it. Blades slide on sideways to scapel handles in a very odd way quite unlike any other knives do. The risk of cutting yourself is very high, and so you are taught to slide them on and bend them off with a pair of forceps. The friction with these handles is just too great, they either need filing down a lot, or just bin them and buy some real Swann-Morton handles. They are so much safer and better. They are expensive handles, but once i saw the difference, I felt a lot safer using them than the free ones included in sets.

Great buy
Lots of sizes to choose from. Just as described. Sharp enough to use on my toes. I mainly use #15 and 11. I dispose of it after use. Very good quality. A bit tricky to put on the handle and take off but once u figure it out it's easy

Good value, very sharp.
Package arrived quickly and blades are very sharp. As easy as any scalpel blades to install. Received more handles than expected, so that was nice.

Most blade styles unavailable
I intend to use these for craft and leatherworking. I had never bought scalpels before, so I didn't really know what the style numbers meant. When the package arrived, I was a bit disappointed to find that of the six blade models, five were simply different sizes of the same style (My bad -- didn't do the research.) However, when I went to the company's website I found that less than half of the blade styles shown were available there. I had to go all over the Web to find the ones I wanted. Just poor advertising. That said, the items I got were not too bad. The handles are not very well machined, but work adequately. The blades are sharp, and the steel seems to be reasonably good; it will take some time to find out how durable they are.All in all, not a bad investment, but I'll find better quality next time around.
