So useful for the Reolink Go
So I’ve had a Reolink Go in my garage for about a year. It’s excellent, but it’s a pain having to remove the battery every month or so to charge it.This panel is now attached to the outside of my garage roof. It’s in a south-facing position but is restricted by trees. But even on a cloudy, overcast autumn day, it is charging the camera. The Reolink app shows a little sunshine icon when the camera is being charged by solar. As my camera doesn’t get much action (it’s in a dark garage and only activates when the door opens at night) the panel is perfect for keeping it topped up.Another quality Reolink product 👍🏼

Reassuringly good..
We have a remote mine site, up on the Cumbrian Fells, which people are trying to break into. We've installed one of these cameras on the portal - amazingly the area has good 4G mobile signal. All the project team, and the local farmer on whose land it is on, now have the Reolink app on their phone, and any of us can view the portal 24 hrs a day. Anyone going near it hears a piercing alarm, and is left in no doubt as to the fact that we know they are there, and will be in attendance shortly with the police. We can even switch to microphone and speak to them. We've a solar panel supply which seems to be working well - last check the power was at 94% battery. Photos show night and day quality.Setting it up was easy for even technophobes like us, and we are able to see live view, take photos and videos, and get alarms when anything goes near the entrance - we are just trying to work out how to stop the sheep triggering it when they go into the portal for shelter... This is an amazing bit of technology - simple, inexpensive, and does what it says on the can..

Not quite large enough to keep our camera charged indefinitely
A couple of years back I fitted this to a camera on the south facing wall of our house. High up with no trees or other obstructions in the way of probably the perfect exposure to the sun that you can get. Yes it's in the Uk and we aren't known for our constant sunshine but to be honest it has been sunnier than I have experienced in recent years. The camera was completely charged up before install and this solar panel has managed to maintain the camera over that time and is now at around 50% battery life. This is good I suppose but I would rather pay a little more for a larger one that maintains the battery level rather than supplying most of the power it needs to charge infinitely. Come the winter, the battery level is going to tank so I will have to take the camera down and recharge it fully again. Not a big deal but if you are in less than perfect conditions then you will be doing this frequently over the year which would be annoying enough to actually hard wire your camera to a constant source. In our case, I think it was worth the purchase but it may not in your situation so think about it carefully and don't expect it to be a final solution as it just isn't.

Woefully inadequate
Have had the Reolink Argus battery camera for a while now - bored of leaning out the window to charge it, decided to purchase the solar charger.Did not provide sufficient power to charge the camera or even retain charge, and the battery of my camera now lasts 24-48 hours.Used for several days to give it a chance and tried installing at a different location. Unfortunately no difference.Totally inadequate as a charger and has reduced my battery capacity.Cannot recommend to anyone, as it’s simply not good enough. Perhaps with a new camera, it may hold charge, but i wouldn’t waste my money trying.Hopefully it was just a faulty unit - but I’m not going to try again.Returned for full refund - absolutely no issues with getting money back, so a positive there.
