The Connetix Clear Rectangle Pack has been a fantastic investment for our family. With 12 pieces in this set, it’s a wonderful addition to our growing collection of Connetix tiles, enhancing playtime with endless possibilities. The clear rectangles are incredibly versatile. They allow for more intricate designs and structures that are both visually appealing and functional. The transparency of the pieces adds a unique twist, letting kids experiment with light and colour in their creations. It’s amazing to see how the different shapes and colours interact, sparking even more creativity. The tiles are sturdy and well-made, standing up to enthusiastic play without any issues. The smooth edges are safe for kids, and the tiles connect securely but are also easy to separate, which makes building and rebuilding a breeze. One of the standout features is how these tiles encourage imaginative play. They are also great for collaborative play, as kids work together to bring their ideas to life. The Connetix Clear Rectangle Pack is a fantastic addition to any set of building tiles. It offers durability, versatility, and a new level of creative potential.

Probably needs other packs to help
This pack contains a set of square plastic units, bonded into sets of 2, 3, and 4 in a row. It is a shame that there aren't any single squares as they would have made the pack more versatile. The magnets to hold the units together are very strong. This helps with the sturdiness of the models but may be a little too strong for small hands. Whilst the magnets are strong, they don't bind very well if they are put at right-angles to each other. This requires some engineering to create a stable structure and would benefit from some of the other sets. The lack of colour means that they are less attractive to kids than they could be. I notice that other sets do come with coloured units and they would make the set more interesting. At £49, they aren't cheap. This price may reflect the quality of the set (which is very good indeed). If you need to buy another set to go alongside it, then the price is now becoming prohibitive for many.I totally approve of this sort of educational toy. It encourages motor skills and maths and engineering exploration. The manufacturer should be congratulated on creating such a well-made toy. If only it were a bit cheaper (or there were more units in the box).

Not Cheap But You Pay For Quality
This review is for the Connetix Clear Rectangle Pack with 12 pieces. Included are several rectangular shaped magnetic units of different lengths, unfortunately there are no single square shapes included so I would suggest that this set is an expansion set for someone that already has a starter kit.I ordered this for my grandson wholes already have a couple of Connectix sets so this will allow him to build larger projects and over time more and more sets can be added for even more capability. The quality is about the best that I've seen for magnetic building blocks and the pieces grab to each other with ease. Every piece is made from a very strong and safe non toxic plastic and houses strong magnets for a decent and sturdy model to be built. Each of the pieces are quite large so it might be a slight problem for very small hands however my six year old has no such issues using these along with his other sets.As the pieces stack to one another the model becomes pretty solid and can be used for numerous ideas and designs, obviously the more sets you have the more than can be done but even if this was to be a first set it will give the child a brilliant introduction into the world of construction and really help to advance their imagination as well as their dexterity.I ordered this along with a set of large base tiles so now with his existing sets he can really use his learned skills to the maximum.Overall, these are not cheap but if you want quality and safety for your child then you shouldn't compromise and just get the best which I believe is Connetix, I consider this to be an add-on set so if you haven't used Connetix before then maybe purchase a starter set first and then add to it with this set and others.Recommended.

Clear magnetic building panels
My kids, even the teenager, love this type of building toy. This particular set by Connetix consists of 12 large panel pieces in 3 different sizes. As each one is clear, I'd say this set would be more of an add on to the other more colourful, varied sets available as to be honest, they're not terribly exciting on their own. That being said, you can still have a reasonable amount of creative fun with just the panels in this box.The panels are fairly large and of good quality with a very strong magnetic hold - structures hold together really well and require a bit of effort to pull apart. If you have other Connetix sets, then this clear set would be a great addition, although that being said, the price of £49 for 12 clear panels is a tad eye-watering.The set comes nicely packaged along with an inspiration book - sadly this doesn't seem to relate to the clear panels in the box, only the coloured variety sets, so you'll definitely need to use some imagination if using these alone.
