I was skeptical at first, but happy with my purchase
First off, the WiFi feature was a pain to set up, but if you follow the instructions closely you can get it to sync with the app on your phone. You need the app to control the flapper. It has a cyclical movement flapper that can only be turned on and off with the app. Child lock is also only done with the app to disable the panel buttons in case you have a child while is a button pusher. This has relatively lower noise than the cheaper models, but you can still hear the motor. To be honest, I enjoyed the light humming noise to put me to sleep. It has an led light that changes colors depending on the humidity level. I would like to turn that off at night as i use the dehumidifier in the bedroom. I might end up having to buy electric tape to mask the light. It pulls plenty of water from the air. It also heats up the room in the winter. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. I will update this review in a few weeks.

Just what I needed
I've long had a humidity issue in my bedroom, due to a substantial wooded area outside my window. The humidity caused a build up of black mold in the room, which has now been brought under control by this. When I was working away from home, it would kick off twice a day automatically, running for up to half an hour each time, keeping the humidity level low. Only downside is I didn't get it sooner, as it would have been most useful over summer. Just now the 5 litre reservoir only needs emptying every two weeks (cuts off automatically when full), but it's a very simple task to do so. There is facility for a constant drain, which I haven't used yet .

Certainly works very well
This machine is extracting moisture from our basement at a fast rate it can fill the tank in a few hours! The tank is a little awkward to remove when it is very full, easy to spill water as you remove it. Noise is not a problem as it is not being used in the house, but it is not excessive anyway. The instructions are comprehensive the only problem so far is Bluetooth/wifi communication I can't get it to connect.

Efficient clothes dryer
Please note: I received the manufacturer's larger 30 lires per day version. The Amazon page is linking to what I believe is a newer but smaller (20 litres per day) model. The new model appears to have the option of a pre-set laundry drying mode.I like to dry the washing outdoors on the line, but, obviously, this isn't always possible, so a dehumidifier seemed like a good idea. As I haven't used one before, these are first impressions and I can't make comparisons with other units. There's no specific option for drying laundry, so I used the auto setting. I didn't set a timer, just checked on the washing at regular intervals. I'm impressed by the speed that the washing dried. A poly cotton king size duvet cover was dry in an hour and a half (apart from a little dampness at the edges), with the rest of the load ready for ironing in 4 hours. Thicker items, like socks were a bit damp, but no more so than after being outside. The washing was very soft, smelt fresh and, in fact, didn't need much ironing at all. I'm pleased with the results. The water tank was no more than 20% full and simple to empty.I didn't bother with the smart settings, but it was simple to change the humidity and fan settings. As soon as you plug the unit in, it gives you the current humidity reading. The negatives are that the unit is very heavy. It has wheels so you can move it easily on a flat surface but it's a big weight to get upstairs which is where we want it. It's staying there now! A minor quibble is that the power cord storage leaves the plug dragging on the floor. A little velcro strap would have been useful to fasten it tidily to the flex. The power lead is also quite short which limits the positioning of the unit. For me, the dehumidifier is a useful backup when drying washing outdoors isn't possible.I hope you found this review useful. If you have a question, I always try to respond when Amazon forwards them to me.
