Simple, but effective
I purchased this remote for use with my Pentax K5 and K5IIs cameras and it works perfectly. The remote triggers the camera perfectly. There is also a lock feature if you are using the camera in Bulb mode. At about 3 feet the cable is an adequate length for my uses and it isn't so long that it gets in my way or tangled. It is a simple device, but it is a good value if you are looking for a wired remote.

Great
This remote does everything you expect it to. No bells and whistles, but it is cheap and works great for times when you don't want to shake the camera by pressing the shutter button. Note the cord is too short to use it for self photos.

Works
This is a handy little item. It has three functions: it supports half pressing to focus and meter, it supports full pressing to take a picture, and it supports "locking" the button in pressed mode if you are doing a 'bulb' style long exposure. The cord itself is short, so don't think you're going to use this to take group pictures where you're in the photo, but it is just about the right length if you are behind the camera while it's on a tripod. In fact, the cable length is short enough that when I'm taking landscape photos, I'll leave this control plugged in and dangling while I move the tripod to another location and it's short enough it won't drag or catch on things. Overall for the price this is a pretty decent product.

Great tool for long exposure photography, great value!
Elegantly simple, this remote allows triggering the shutter without touching the camera. It's perfect for long exposures since it eliminates the camera shake you would get by pressing the shutter button on the camera. The remote is not designed to allow the photographer to be included in group shots (use the timer function for that). It is simply designed to allow the photographer to control the shutter without touching the camera. I've used it for long exposure, dark sky photography with great results. The remote allows you to simply press the button to open the shutter for a time determined by the camera's setting, or you can set the camera to Bulb and hold the button for as long as you want. The remote also had a lock feature so that you can keep the camera's shutter open without having to hold the remote. This product is significantly less that the one made by my camera's manufacturer, but seems to provide the same functionality. Great value!

Nice Product, Short Cord
The control is fine, does what it's supposed to do, and you can't beat the price.I just wish the cord was longer.

Works just like it should
It works. There's not much to it, it just does what it's supposed to. Push the button halfway to focus, all the way to take a shot. Slide it into the lock position to hold the shutter button down if you don't want to hold it.

Awesome product !
I was so happy once this arrived. It came in its box in which it belonged to. And I bought this for night and long exposure photography and it does what it's supposed to ! The cool thing I found that it does , which I wasn't aware of at first, was that it can lock itself to take multiple shots. I thought at it was only good good for one photo at a time. I was wrong. It's a little sensitive but I got used to it.

Hard wired remote....
Works well, had another brand but the button was starting to stick or I had to really force it to work properly. This is working well, I use if for moon shots and macro flower shots.
