Exterior handrail
The railing is beautiful , sturdy and easy to maintain. My contractor says the screws and anchors that come with it were a piece of crap. He had to the install to go get better anchors from home depot to keep the rail from wobbling and moving

GREAT BUT, expect at least minor cosmetic flaws...and potential customer service issues
Overall, I really like these. VEVOR does package them with some padding, and none of the packages I received (initially) were damaged in any way (good job on heavy items, Amazon!). SEE UPDATES BELOW!I ordered two sets and both arrived with some chipping damage and some scratches, as well as some bent tabs that need to be manually bent to a different position to fit. Unfortunately, the chipping seems to be primarily at the top of the main rail where you grip the rail. The first one only had one chip at that location (I chose to ignore other minor cosmetic flaws). That one also had a burr in the welding in the same area, so I sanded the burr off and touched up the paint with some satin black Rustoleum (knowing full well it won't hold up as well as the powder coating and I will need to keep an eye on it for rust). The second rail had FOUR LARGE CHIPS that bit into your hand when you grip the rail. I contacted VEVOR customer service. They responded fairly quickly to tell me "Just paint it yourself". Um....no. It would take more sanding and resurfacing than I want to have to do on a brand new item , and it wouldn't be the same as a good powder coat on the iron. VEVOR didn't even offer to send touch up paint (not that that would have been acceptable either). Yes, I expect to need to paint them someday....IN SEVERAL YEARS... not brand new out of the box. Remember, there was absolutely no damage to any of the packaging. All pieces were also handled very carefully on top of padding at all times while unpacking and inspecting - this did not happen here. Also recall there are numerous less severe scratches and chips I let go as 'cosmetic'.Fortunately, I did not trust this manufacturer from the start and had the good sense to pay a couple bucks more and order through Amazon rather than directly from VEVOR. I'm a prime member, and guess who is getting their railing back even though they said no? I'll just order more until I get a good one. Thanks Amazon!Update:We ordered another rail (like we said we would). The 'expected delivery' date kept changing and getting pushed out over and over again. When it finally arrived, the box was DESTROYED, the railing was damaged, and there were RANDOM THINGS in the box with the railing... as if Amazon had scooped it up off the floor one or more times and gathered other random items with it, shoved it all back in the box, and taped it up again! After doing so well, WHAT HAPPENED AMAZON??? This one is not on the vendor, and did not factor into the 'star' rating. This railing was supposed to address the defect in my original order, but it had to be returned.A fourth rail was also obtained (more later on that) and, while the box did have two puncture holes, the box was in otherwise excellent condition and the railing inside was, again, essentially undamaged. NOTE: All of these railings seem to arrive with some very minor scratches and/or minimal cosmetic chipping. We found this rail to be acceptable. YMMV.This fourth railing arrived because VEVOR changed its mind and sent a whole new one free of charge... after my review above was posted. While I was more than willing to do so, they did not ask me to do a return in exchange for it. So, VEVOR DID ADDRESS THE PROBLEM, and they did so satisfactorily... BUT ONLY AFTER I POSTED NEGATIVELY and was going to resolve it via reorders regardless of their answer.I have adjusted my review to 4 stars, which the railings I would give 5 stars but the damage, shipping challenges, and customer service lower it a bit. Use caution regarding returns, and set your expectations correctly and most people should be really pleased with these. The price is excellent, the project is not overly complex, and the outcome was pleasing and sturdier than expected.

A practical bargain for a handrail
Assembly and setup are simple and intuitive for anyone with a little experience with these types of items. After installation in stone steps, it is rock solid and stable. Be sure to carefully mark and drill the holes for the screw anchors. You will need a second person for assembly and to hold it in place exactly as you mark the drill spots. The only problem issue I encountered was with the masonry drill bit that comes with it. It appears to be good quality, but it is metric with FOUR sides to the end that goes into the drill chuck. All my drills are 1/4 inch with a THREE sided chuck grip. It will not fit in those. You need a half inch or larger drill. ACE hardware did not have 3-sided metric bits so I got the 7/16ths bit with is about 3mm smaller than the bit supplied. But it worked perfectly with the holes reamed slightly. You also need a ratchet wrench with an extension unless you want to spend 2 hours or so turning the anchor bolts with the small crescent wrench supplied. My steps are slightly over 7 feet run so I wondered if this 5 ft. rail would work. It’s perfect and the rails do not extend past the ends of the run. A great safety item for all and especially senior citizens.

Bent bolt cover flanges
We bought one rail and when it got here, the cover flanges that covers the bolts where both bent up. So, we ordered a replacement. Got ANOTHER rail with bent flanges. We contacted customer service and that has been a back and forth nightmare to see what they will do about it or can they send replacement flanges. The last thing they said was, the manufacturer will contact you...I was talking with Vevor representatives so how was I going to talk to the manufacturer. I still have not received any contact and it will just keep going around in circles. This is sad because the rail itself, is sturdy. The flanges are to thin or not packaged right. If they fix this, then maybe.

Nice sturdy rail but missing parts
Nice and sturdy and does its job but because of the missing parts, it resulted two extra trips to the hardware store that I didn’t really want or need in my life
