Off brand use with modification
Purchased this case for a Cordoba Mini II bass as the body dimensions and overall length were perfect. The only issue is of course the size of the tuner keys which necessitated a bit of surgery.Gently removed the fur around the area and pulled it away the Styrofoam (it is rubber cemented on) that is the padding of the case, cut away a healthy section of either side - being careful not to lacerate the nylon strap that covers the inside of the hinge, test fitted for full range of motion on the tuning keys (putting them in the in line with the headstock and then perpendicular to it which ensures they aren't getting bumped by the sides or bottom of the cavity), spread "Goop" on the in-sides of the case to affix the fabric in place, and clamped small flat pieces of wood to hold the fabric while it was drying to give the cavity a form-fitted look. Waited 24hrs to ensure that any excess or bled through glue would not harm the bass' finish. The case overall is well constructed. It is very light, the outside is hard plastic and the inside is Styrofoam covered in the ubiquitous case-fur. Inner pocket isn't very deep. Just enough for maybe a tuner and a few small tools MAYBE a strap. Does not appear large enough for an extra set of bass strings (this may be the next modification) which i did not have on hand to test out.It fits the Cordoba like a glove after the alteration. Apparently the brand models it was intended for and the one I'm using are extremely similar if not exactly the same in dimensions. The lid closes easily with no gap and the latches are tight without being strained. I have not given the bass a night in it yet, as the glue is still drying as I type, but preliminary test fits revealed no signs of excessive tightness or pressure exerted on the instrument's top (judged by the inside of the case lid having only the string path lines present and no crush mark in the fur/foam made by the bridge). There is no movement inside the case (barring knick knacks in the inner compartment) when it is being carried.Overall, I highly recommend this case for the Cordoba Mini II which is not on the list of approved instruments, but trust this random internet denizen - it works!

The perfect Baby Taylor guitar case
I bought this case for my new Baby Taylor BT2, which came with a soft sided backpack style case. I like to take this on business trips and vacations, and didn't trust the guitar to survive very long, so I decided to purchase this case.My only fear was that this case was modified from the original to fit the Martin LX1, and I was afraid that the fit for the Taylor wouldn't be as good because of that. I need not have worried. This case fits the Taylor perfectly. It is strong and secure. It's been on planes and ships and even carried by by kids, and it's holding up great. I like that it easily fits in the overhead baggage thing on airplanes. It is exactly what I'd hoped it would be... a really solid, secure case to protect my guitar. Thanks SKB!

Happy with this rugged case.
I got this for a Little Martin. The gig bag that comes with the Little Martin is very good, but I wanted something to protect my guitar from extreme heat and cold when traveling and figured a real case would do a better job. So far so good. It fits well and the latches seem to work well. It's less portable than the gig bag, but going from hot Texas summers in the car to freezing in Colorado, I have not had a problem and it seems rugged enough that I don't have to worry about things being dropped on it or smashing into it while traveling. I use my Little Martin as a travel guitar and the ruggedness of this case complements the ruggedness of the guitar.

Reasonable protection for the money
I purchased this hardshell case for a Martin LXM to meet carry on regulations for instruments on United Airlines. On the international leg, with a partner airline, they made me check the case although they tagged it priority and it got preferential handling (came off first from the luggage and maybe isolated from most of the checked bags, with the priority tag). I carried on for 4-5 legs and then checked for one. I taped the latches with duck tape for the return legs which included check in. There wasn't a scratch on the case, and the guitar traveled well. I wouldn't use this bag for check in as a general rule as the latches aren't robust (poor assembly and fit per other reviews) but for the money, it's a good case and the guitar fits perfectly snug inside. Good buy if you purchase at a discount.

Great case/"dynamic pricing"
I ordered this on Tuesday and received it yesterday (Thursday) right on schedule. I think it's a fantastic case - substantial, well-made, a great cozy fit for my Baby Taylor. I haven't had the occasion to travel with it yet, but I imagine it will perform admirably. I intended to post a review last night, but was a bit put off when I saw that while I had paid 89.99 on Tuesday, the Thursday price was 59.50. I thought about this for a while, and decided to still give it five stars because now it was an *even better deal* than it had been earlier in the week (although I was annoyed to find the price now 34% lower). Now (the next morning) the price is 76.44. Go figure. Anyway, I think it's terrific.

Great case for little guitars!
I just opened it up and inspected it, and I must say this is way higher quality than I expected. The packaging it came in a huge box. Wayyy bigger box than it needed but it came in a cloth bag to keep it from getting scratched up. It fits my Martin 3/4 LX1E perfectly, it's snug on all the sides, no room to leave a capo on the neck of the while it is in the case, however there is room in the storage compartment in the case for small tuners and capos and guitar picks etc. I posted pictures of this case next to my full size road runner case (similar build quality) just for size comparison.
