They work great, and saved a bundle too!
I purchased these cross bars so I could mount my SkyBox on my 2014 Mercedes ML350. They are easy to mount, but it did take some time to measure and make sure everything was lined up right. I noticed when I installed one of the end caps (it came with 6), that it pushed down on the rubber filler strip, so I cut out the bottom of the end cap, and it solved this problem (see photos). Some of the reviewers complained about the end caps falling out, so I glued them in with clear adhesive. Reviewers also complained about wind noise, so I made sure all the slots were covered with the rubber inserts or shipping tape. The manufacturer of my SkyBox wants over $500 for their cross rail kit, so I was super happy to save a bundle with these!I just got back from a 2,500 miles trip, and no problems. Took the bars off my car and put them back in the box for storage.

Easy
That's about the easiest "installation" of anything I've ever done. My old beach Suburban already has some cross members but they're really weak and flimsy and they don't sit high enough so when I put my kayak up top the kayak now runs on the roof and messes up what's left of the paint. I saw that these rack cross members sit higher and thought I'd take a chance and see how they worked. I'm glad I did, these are 100 times stronger than the original Suburban cross members and they sit considerably higher so I'll be able to put my kayak up top now without worrying about it rubbing. The locking mechanism is interesting, it rotates to block the Allen screw so the rack can't be easily removed. The grip is strong and the bars don't flex at all. Packaging was good if that matters to you. I'd buy them again if I have another vehicle that needs them.

Arrived damaged *UPDATE 11/4/24*
UPDATE:The seller has reached out to me about this review and replaced the damaged bars. They took great concern in making sure this issue was corrected. One of the bars arrived damaged, as you can see in the picture. I was able to bend it out enough with needle nose to install, as I need these for an upcoming trip in two days so I don't have time to wait on another set. Also, be cautious when tightening the Allen head bolts inside of the holders. The cheap hardware that is installed strips out very easy. Had to go by a washer and nut to replace one of them. Other than that, they seem sturdy and hopefully they will work fine.

Great rails for our car.
Got these rails for our Acadia so we could add carrier on top of car for our trip at Christmas. These are easy to install, look very nice and they are light weight but hold enough weight. We had over five bags bags heavy jackets and boots and it held all that weight just fine. They also love in place so no worries.

Fit our 2024 SUBARU Forester
Sturdy and well made.Took a while to install. Make sure you get them perfectly centered (have a measuring tape/ruler handy).Even with the plastic inserts in place there is some minor high speed whistling, but a bit of electric tape may stop that-- have not tried yet.Also-- they are over 4' wide, so you can strap a full-sized sheet of plywood on them for a short trip from the Depot to home.

Really noisy!
These are easy to mount and sturdy but they whistle in the wind at speeds greater than 40mph. Really noisy! I installed rubber gap fillers per instructions but they still whistle on the highway. Drives me crazy. My stock bars on my 4 runner are quiet. These are noisy!

It works... difficult to assemble and find attachment screws (they are not included).
Pros- Holds weight well, locking mechanism, and not as loud as others when driving.Cons - Difficult to install, not the right size, customization may be required.Overall, this product is accomplishing its job, but there are a few issues that I have experienced. First, the way my vehicle is set up, the front side rails are further than the back. I do not think the manufacturers took this into account. The rails I received were the same size, making install very difficult. This product was advertised for my vehicle, so it should have met the specs of the vehicle. As you can see from the picture this made getting the end caps on very difficult. I had to custom cut the endocarps to fit on the rails because of the siding mechanism inside of the rail (see picture 2-4). This was not overly complicated task, but someone who does not feel comfortable make this cut or lacks the tools to do so may feel frustrated. Just thought I would give a heads up. Another issue I had was if you want to add an attachment you have to purchase a special flat to bolt (see picture 5). I have not found a bolt that meets these specification in m6 anywhere. I think in the future the manufacturer could provide these (10) or so, and this issue would be solved. I am currently trying to find bolts to fit this and have ordered some hex bolts that might work.
