Wow! After years of basic sewing machines, this is all singing, all dancing sewing and embroidery! Can’t leave it alone! So many possibilities and oh so straight forward to use!

After 36 years of sewing with my pfaff 1222e I decided to take the plunge with a 3 in 1 janome to save space by having a combination machine. It was so worth it. So easy to use and excellent stitch quality. Give it a go. It comes with a walking foot and many other accessories. Perfect for dressmaking, quilting and embroidery.

I purchased this machine about a year and a half ago. It is a considered purchase and one which I took a long time to decide on, particularly as there were so few reviews.What can I say, the machine is fabulous and I am so pleased I chose it over the Brother. It is a real workhorse for general sewing, has an amazing number of stitches to play with and yet is so simple to convert to an embroidery machine. The space required for the embroidery unit is more compact than most others. You can sew normally with the unit on if you like and unit is attached to the back of the machine rather than the side. Learning to use the embroidery section is quite straight forward but transferring new designs onto the unit took a bit of trial and error. It’s simple when you get the hang of it.The machine is heavy so you will not want to use it to take to classes but it does come with a good quality fabric cover for both the machine and a separate bag for the embroidery unit.If you have a chance, give it a try. It is not as daunting as you would imagine and the quality of stitch for both sewing and embroidery is wonderful. I have had no issues with any thread I have tried so far, including metallics. Yes it is expensive, but not when you consider you are getting two high quality machines in one.
