M.A.D For Ford Rado Grey Alloy Wheel Paint Touch Up Kit Compatible With Fiesta ST Curb Scratch

Perfect colour for my ST alloys where i had scraped one. I sanded alloys and should've filled them really, but that was a bit out of my comfort zone, maybe next time (hopefully there isn't one).I smoothed the area as much as possible and cleaned throughly with soap and water. Then i applied M.A.D.s grey primer in a thin coat (the paint not me) it was touch dry very quickly but i give it an hour, then applied a thin coat of the Rado Grey (it is metallic btw) another hour, another coat of Rado, then finished off with a thin covering of MADs clear lacquer, this may have been unnecessary I'm not sure. The finish is excellent , unfortunately the photos just highlight the scratches that were left unfilled even though the paint applied nicely in them, and doesn't do the paint(s) justice, so i won't post them.PS please be careful DIYing your scratched alloys they are alot softer than you'd think and some heavy duty sanding could leave more damage than you started with. Luckily i was aware of this before i started (thank the powers that be).

I was a little nervous and unsure at how well I’d be able to mask the area on my wheel where I scraped the kerb. However, a small sanding and then one coat of this paint and I’m extremely happy with the end result - way way better than I expected. The brush that comes with this is a little large so I used my own smaller artist’s brush.I have to say that the colour match is spot on and the finish of the paint once dried is perfect for these wheels.Would very much recommend this as a diy fix.
