Great darts from a great player at a great price..perfect purchase

At first glance these darts may seem a bit pricey, and to be fair they are not exactly what you would describe as bargain price, but there again they are not designed as entry level darts either.They come in what appears to be quite average packaging, but don't let that put you off. Once you get these darts out of their box the quality and design is obvious. Made primarily of tungsten they feature very well machined barrels with a steel tip. The shafts are also from the Target range of professional 'Progrip" offerings and are primarily clear plastic with black markings. The flights are plastic and of the 'flight shape number 2' design.All of these components are designed to match the darts used by the world famous player Chris "Hollywood" Dobey and when you feel and use them you can feel the quality oozing out of this product. However that's not to say you can't customise them for your own style of play as there is an extensive range of alternative shafts and flights available to do so.Despite the price I think these are well worth the money as you are paying not just for the name, but also the excellent quality manufacturing. The only thing I think should be provided with a product in this price range is some form of storage such as a leather pouch or similar. Although I guess if you are serious enough to buy these you may already have something suitable or are happy to buy a hard protective case or whatever you prefer as an accessory. It also keeps the price down to not include something and allows the buyer to get their storage medium of choice so maybe on balance this is not so important.

When I was in my teens and early twenties, I loved playing darts, first at home in the garage, then in the pub. I remember having a brass set, I just cannot remember the weight I used to play with. These darts are far superior, and look much better than mine were.These darts are endorsed by the Chris Dobey, I am not really up on dart players these days, so I have no idea if he's good. These darts by Target are the 1st generation, and they are a very classy looking set of darts. The quality is amazing, like all the Target darts I have tried to date.From the barrel down to the tip, the black and silver looks amazing, and makes them stand out; they are 90% tungsten barrels and have a lifetime guarantee like all Target darts. These feel good to grip.The darts have pro grip shafts & pro ultra flights and are finished off with the appropriate artwork. The shafts are short, 34mm in length. I don't usually do this. Things break and that's ok, however to have 2 points snap in exactly the same place in the space of a few weeks tells me there is a weakness. Only bought in January and 3 months later, I'm buying new points. No way to message target darts direct either. Really disappointed.

I like these. They have a nice balance and feel good when you throw them. I ended up getting the 24g version. Would have been interested to try the slightly lighter ones. But these are fine. Flights are a bit of boring colour, and a simple case to put them in would have been nice, as these aren’t cheap.

It's true, I've always been awful at darts. When this new set arrived, I allowed myself a brief moment to wonder if this might be because I've always used cheap, knackered darts.These Target Chris Dobey darts really are the business. Nicely packaged, and very well made, they sit very well in the hand and have a real premium feel to them. I can't say much more than that, as alas, they did not make my game any better (some people are beyond hope, I suspect). My son, who plays regularly at the local pub, took them with him one evening and came back singing their praises, and saying that everyone was impressed - including Big Dave, who is a minor legend in our village pub (admittedly, not so much for his darts playing these days, as he's getting on a bit).These are clearly very high quality darts, and so are recommended.
