Got exactly what I wanted and at a good price

Tablets were large and hard to swallow and container approx. 7 inches high! Manufcaturer needs to have a rethink about these two aspects.

I did not notice any difference so have not purchased again

L-Lysine Tablets 1000mg - 90 Tablets3 Months supply if taking one per day, manufacture recommended dose is 1 tablet,1-2 times per day.The tablets are in the manufacturers box with a lift off cap. Underneath the cap is a peel off foil tamperproof seal.These are in a letterbox friendly container so you do not need to be home to take delivery.These are tablet form and nt capsules.The size of the tablet is the same regular size that the famous branded supplement store beginning with H and B sell, so if you are accustomed too those sizes you will be fine with these.For the amount of tablets you get for the low price tag and high dose I am pleased with them.

They arrived in good time but that's where the positives end. The tablets are huge. I gave up trying to swallow these because on two occasions one got stuck across my oesophagus. It happened once and I thought I must take care to ensure it is vertical when swallowing but in truth you can't control this, as I found out when it happened twice. The image shows a 400g ibuprofen tablet ( ie the larger variety) next to one.

Ok so this is made in Britain, I haven't yet been taking it long enough, nor in controlled conditions to report its benefits. But to start with, its a big tub with replaceable lid. The first thing you'll notice is these are the biggest tablets i've ever seen. For that i've deducted 2 stars perhaps unfairly but what I do is break them in half, even then they're still large to swallow. But they are tasteless and dissolve in water, or especially any carbonated drink. It contains more than adequate info on the back of the tub.The reason I'm interested in taking this is in clinical studies it as actually demonstrated to increase the synthesis of GABA. And to test that they used a GABA antagonist, which reversed its anticonvulsant and other GABAs receptor like effects, such as sedation, anxiolytic effects, reduction in sleep latency, increased sleep duration. I already take this with L theanine and Magnesium which are also GABA modulators with decades of evidence in promoting sleep. This supplement was found to have no measurable toxic effect, that does not mean take more than the serving amount but like Vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid, there is virtually no toxicity according to studies. But taking more does not necessarily increase any effects, i'm just implying its less toxic according to published researched.But since GABA synthesis appears to depend of the availability of this essential amino acid, its likely that clinical uses may be discovered in the same way that Taurine (another GABA modulator added to red bull!) is now used not just as a supplement but clinically to treat conditions and that was only discovered in the last decade. GABA is the primary neurotransmitter in the human body and thats why any supplement that may increase it, typically like L theanine and L Lysine has proven to reduce stress, anxiety and even have mild anticonvulsant effects - This is the same receptor that Valium binds to, and L theanine is found in both black and green tea, so these are not experimental. I do have a background in pharmacology but as a disclaimer: always read the allergy advice and serving instructions, do your own research and speak to your doctor, pharmacist or dietician if you have any concerns or are breast feeding. I only aim to give background information on the potential benefits that are based on peer reviewed studies.Deducting two stars only as the tablets are now swallowable unless you break them in half or dissolve

I bought this supplement to help me train for a marathon, after doing some research I found that it helps with muscle repair and growth to get me back on my feet faster than I would have done otherwise. Anecdotally, this seems to work at least a little although it's not a night and day difference. I seem to be recovering faster than I did before taking the supplements so I'm taking that's a pro.One thing I like about the supplement is the packaging, it comes in a flat sided bottle which really helps save space and avoids the problem I have with other supplements of overcrowding in my cupboard and the supplements being hard to reach and occasionally falling out.Overall, I can very much recommend this supplement.

Sources include meat, fish, dairy, and eggs.If you are Vegan it is with checking out if this will help you as most of the natural sources are obtained in meat and dairy.I have bought this to try as a supplement I was using also included L-Lysine. It no longer does and having read up on the overall benefits I thought I would purchase this amino acid as a top up "just in case".This pack contains 90 tablets and you can have between one and two per day. I am taking one per day as I am vegetarian not Vegan.
