Great cargo carrier
Love the flexibility of it & the easy installation. Also, it kept the things inside dry while I drove home from vacation.

Excellent product
We bought this for a cross country trip. It fit two large suitcases and two smaller ones behind. To reduce movement I put some non slip matting between the car and the bag, and on the inside I put a twin sized foam mattress cover under the suitcases. Worked perfectly.

What I wish I knew
We moved across the country in a 2000 mile move on a Ford Focus hatchback without a roof rack. We wouldn't have been able to make our move without it. I read a ton of reviews, and these are what I wish I knew:- The bag really stays in place. The first day I was nervous driving that it would become loose, etc., and that wasn't an issue.- The straps are incredibly difficult to use. We lost one latch on the wrap-around strap on day two and went without it. It makes getting into the car difficult. Also, it really didn't work well with my foam insulation around the doors, so it did create a small gap in the front passenger and driver side, leaving a little rain, air and wind in. It sounded like we were in an airplane. There just was not enough give on the front two straps.- The directions for install are worthless. The video is worthless. But we still figured it out?- It holds so much. Truly it is ginormous. I did not think we would fill the bag, but I was wrong. We tested what we were putting in it at our place uninstalled and this was a huge help for us and saved us a ton of time on the big day.- I didn't have the horrible gas mileage that others mentioned. It went down 3 mpg than usual and we had a packed car.- Whatever you put up there, don't plan on getting it out easily. We had our camping gear and it sucked undoing it every day for a multi-day road trip.- It is water-resistant but not waterproof. But honestly? That didn't really matter for us. We put everything into containers so it was already safe from water.- It gets buggy, to be expected.- It did make small scratches on the roof of my car because I neglected to buy the slip mat.

HUGE Capacity!
Huge storage capacity. durability is good as well. Was left overnight in rain and was dry inside. Did well on a 15 hours drive. Only dislike was the straps that came with it, quite flimsy and had to use my own ratchet straps to keep it down.
