I'm always a little concerned about aftermarket kits like this, my imagination conjures images of cheaply made fragile leds that don't quite line up right with poor (or no!) instructions and leds with odd or incorrect colors for where they are located. I was completely wrong on this one though! The Leds are bright and sturdy, and inset into actual lego pieces! The instructions were clear and printed in full color! They have disassembly steps for installation and reassembly steps that hide the wires very well! Even the battery pack has lego studs imprinted on it so it can be built into larger sets! In all I was very impressed and I will almost certainly be a repeat customer!(Note on the pictures, I did not install the pink leds for the trees, but they did come with the kit and they do work correctly, it was just an aesthetic choice on my part)

This LED kit is easy to install and looks great when installed! All of the pieces went on without issue, the wires were easy to route, and the instructions were easy to follow. I've also had no issues with the pieces popping off after install. The lighting itself is great and just enough to look nice without overpowering the model.Lightaling kits come with the LEDs preinstalled into Lego pieces so you just need to disassemble sections, run wires, then install the LED like any other piece. I would recommend that you're experienced with Lego before trying to install these kits since they are more involved than a standard build. Still if you take your time, relax, and follow the instructions you can get the kit installed, and the results are worth the effort.

Absolutely love this. Highlights all my favorite parts of the model and I thoroughly enjoy the different colored lights. Adds a whole new element!Things I wish I new first!1. Would have been better to have when I first rebuilt it. To hide the wires, you have to dismantling. Nothing horrible.2. Definitely should have looked at all the baggies instead of just jumping in with bag 1. Handy pair of tweezers in one of the unopened bags.

Sometimes difficult to install but the outcome is worth it.

Just awsome!!!Now, everyone will want light sets for ALL of their Lego creations. It was a great birthday surprise for a young adult who grew up with older Lego sets and had no idea that light sets now exist for the grown-up Lego enthusiasts..

When I bought this item, I didn't realize that it was the lights and not the kit. It was a present for which the person that received it was kind of confused...

Tested the lights before installing and some LED lights not working despite carefully untangling

The product is designed specifically for this lego set. The LEDs are set into lego bricks so it is easy to add them to the set itself. Where the fiddly element comes in is dismantling parts of the set to hide and trail the wires. There are step by step instructions for this process that can be a little confusing to follow, but do show the thought the manufacturer has put in. You can definitely hide the wires better than I did, as I got a bit impatient half way through and started doing my own thing rather than following the instructions!This wouldn't be recommended for children as it is hard to put together.The lights are bright when powered by USB and look effective. The only problem is the USB cables are on the same side as the opening to the building on the model, so you can either display the back of the model and hide the cables, or display the front and see all the cables.It still looks pretty and overall I'm happy. Just be aware it is a bit fiddly.
