These wood blanks are perfect for making ink pens. Their widths and lengths are perfect.

It's always nice to have a variety of blanks around when it's time to make gifts or get some more pens ready to sell for the craft fair season and these are a good variety of blanks.They come in a decent (albeit slightly thinner than I prefer) .75x.75 width (definitely prefer 1x1) so I have to be careful not to go too hard on the turning, but as long as I'm paying attention, they're great. They're also in the 5-6 in range which makes them good for the average pen, though if you do a capped or cigar pen, you might have to use multiple blanks or the same or contrasting wood to have enough.They also are actually the woods they say as I compared them to my other blanks from Woodcraft and Rockler and they matched as expected both visually and when I turned them, but I wanted to ensure I wasn't getting equivalent blanks instead of exact as intended.

I am extremely happy with these wood blanks. The wood selection is quality, and the various types of wood have been a pleasure to work with. I have had no issues with grain/knots/etc. They are just nice, smooth, and easy to work with. Highly recommended!

This is a great deal on quality wood. Each individual piece is very nice and mostly as pictured. They were no blemishes or imperfections to speak of and they all have nice grain. These will all make great pens. Gift season is around the corner!

Good quality woods with no obvious imperfections. They are the dimensions stated and are all nearly identical in size. This is a good pack to get a bunch of quality hardwoods without having to buy them separately. This is also good for other projects as well where you can combine these different woods to make patterned wood art using naturally colored wood.

The listing for this is a little confusing. I wasn't quite 100% sure what I was going to get, which was vaguely exciting. To answer any mysteries, what you get is a little white box with 5 different kinds of wood. The wood itself is great quality, and I was able to turn the pieces easily. For this price, I was very pleased with the variety and the quality of the wood.
