Really good for the price
I'm new to cutting polystyrene so didn't want to spend too much for an initial 'toe in the water' experience. Am really happy with the item: arrived promptly and really easy to use. Took me a while to get skilled in using all the attachments (strongly recommend cutting along a steel ruler for perfect 90degree cuts) but with a bit of practice the results look good. Gets hot and cools down quickly (seconds) so easy to change between the 3 attachments without wasting time. Only negative is the lack of an on off switch but put a switched plugboard on the work surface and solved the problem fairly easily. This was a good purchase.

I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance
I purchased the CLICK 3-in-1 Hot Wire Electric Foam Cutter (C116) in August 2022 and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. This tool is an absolute game-changer for anyone working with foam. The three interchangeable tips - hot wire, engraver, and hot knife - offer incredible versatility for a range of projects. Whether I'm cutting precise shapes, adding intricate details, or simply slicing through thick foam, this cutter handles it all with ease. The hot wire cuts through polystyrene like butter, creating clean, smooth edges. The engraver is perfect for adding fine details and the hot knife is handy for general cutting tasks. The tool is well-built and feels sturdy, and the safety features are reassuring.I've used this cutter extensively for hobby projects and have always been satisfied with the results. It's easy to use, clean, and store. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient foam cutter, I wholeheartedly recommend the CLICK 3-in-1.

Easy to use
It’s really easy to use and does exactly what I need. The only downside is the stand is a little flimsy so you need to be careful that it doesn’t slip off and burn the table.I did have a problem with the first one I received but the seller rectified it straight away and sent me a new one really quickly. Thank you

Not fit for purpose
This product when at full temperature couldn’t even cut through a small piece of polystyrene. Absolute waste of money.

Excellent product
I was a little sceptical as to how good this would actually be, however this piece of kit is fantastic, the various tips work incredibly well and the wire cutter glides through the polystyrene quickly and with great ease.I would highly recommend this product as it surpassed by expectations and the price is very good as well..

Works OK but there are easier methods
In the end I found that an old breadknife was faster and accurate enough for cutting up insulation blocks but I suppose this tool has more accuracy if you need that. Heats up quickly.

Hot Wire Foam Cutter
Unfortunately this tool did not perform as expected, which I suspect was due to the tool not reaching a hot enough temperature for its intended purpose. I bought it to cut and shape polystyrene for which it is recommended. It comes with three interchangeable attachments, a Hot Wire Tip, Hot Knife Tip and an Engraver Tip. As recommended, I used minimal force allowing the tool to do the work, and although the Hot Wire Tip did manage to cut through the polystyrene, the Hot Knife Tip could not make a cut and despite careful use and minimal force, bent and broke after three attempts at use. As I did not need the Engraver Tip for my project, it was not used so I cannot comment on its proficiency. According to the packaging, the temperatures for each attachment are 150/200 & 300 degrees C respectively, however given each of the used attachments performances I doubt these temperatures are actually reached. I only paid £17.50 for this item, so you get what you pay for, and as mentioned although performing disappointingly the Hot Wire Cutter did allow me to complete the work, so for a one off project it is ok but I would not recommend it for large or consecutive modelling projects.
