RELAXING NATURAL SLEEP AID
I purchased this product to make oil but I am using it to make tea. I am afraid I really do not like the taste of this tea so I blend it with other teas to make it more palatable. So if you struggle with the smell it maybe an idea to add some hibiscus 🌺 or camomile or any tea of your preference to it.It seems a good quality valerian and definitely smells the real deal. I think the product is quite expensive generally but this is a good size so I feel it does work out better value for money.Personally I didn’t notice a massive difference in my sleep quality but that is probably because I need to use it every night and I mixed it with other sleep aids. So I probably will try and stomach the smell and test it for sleep quality by taking it on its own.Overall I will continue to use it for sleep and I am happy with the price as it really does go a long way.

Top Quality
One of the best quality you will find. I have been using Polish sourced Valerian for years. To get the best out of it I use a decent electric coffee grinder, this way you get full strength out of the Valerian, you don't need much per application, and by grinding it, it last longer. Also, there are no stones in this brand of Old India.

Changed
Bought this for years, last bag was not valerian, bought early April 2025.. Just smelled like old twigs and no pungent valerian smell that used to stink the house out whenever I opened the tin it was kept in, which sent the cat in a frenzy! The last bag the cat didn't show any interest at all, because it's simply not valerian anymore. Will have to look elsewhere now, shame. Its expensive but worth every penny when the real deal, but now I cannot trust the seller or the product, such a shame.

Cat loves it, but…
But bloomin’ heck it stinks sooo bad, first time I got it put a little down for the cat as she loves the smell so much and does have a really nice calming effect on her. However I left the bag in the living room and towards the end of the day I was convinced I must really stink as all I could smell was the smell of old stinky man feet, I eventually figured out it was the valerian! So it’s now kept in an airtight container in the cupboard with cat toys kept in the box, which is enough to ‘charge’ the toys up with the smell for the cat so routinely remove and add new toys for the keep the cat happy. But it is not weak stuff so I can only conclude that it is of a good strong quality and that can only be good.

Was this valerian root washed in detergent and not rinsed properly?
Hi I bought a pack of Old India valerian root few days ago. I make tinctures with it. I only use roots and vodka. This time the foam is floating on the surface of vodka. Was the root washed in detergent and not washed off properly? Is it safe to consume??? I’ve used Old India valerian before and didn’t have this problem. Hope the seller will be able to explain the foam.

Good quality in bulk from poland
Dont listen to the bad reviews saying it has stones in it. This is actually larger chopped up pieces or root. It dosnt say organic.. but valerian has few natural pests and like most valerian this is coming from poland where i have seen much valarian labeled organic many times.
