The first one I received was not working, I returned and received a new one. Works great! No problems so far. Great price, just as described with length. Easy to connect and setup.

Used it to temporarily connect Intel NUC to one of my USB c monitors, which only has HDMI out and not Display over USB C. Works perfectly!

Hard to find adapter/interface at a good price point. It works, very uniquely just as described (be sure to look at the online doc for your specific connections). Now single cable to new compact USB-C display/monitors....I noticed a previous review that the interface overheated... I also experience reboot on a small monitor, likely from overheating, when I turned up the volume too much. So this could be a concern. Otherwise, I am happy with the performance.Due to this one issue, I adjusted rating to 4-stars. Thx

Did you know that pretty much all HDMI to HDMI cables are bidirectional (ie; doesn't matter which side you plug into the source vs. destination), but nearly all HDMI->USB-C cables are unidirectional (ie; one end is for the source of the video, while the other is for the destination/display)? It turns out that USB-C to HDMI cables are common, but HDMI to USB-C is not. That is because most monitors have HDMI as an input, not USB-C, so the cables are meant to have the USB-C end plugged in the PC (source) and the HDMI end plugged into the monitor (Destination/Display). Portable monitors, on the other hand, often just have USB-C ports for power and input, and no HDMI ports. In my case, my laptop only has one USB-C thunderbolt port, which I need for a hub to plug all of my other peripheral devices in (thumb drive, ring light, webcam, external speaker, etc.). Therefore, I could only use the HDMI port on either my hub or my laptop to attach my portable monitor. This requires either a bidirectional HDMI<->UCB-C cable, or a unidirectional "HDMI to USB-C", which is the opposite of most cables on the marketplace.I chose this cable because it CLEARLY states that it is "HDMI to USB-C". It even states in the title that it is for a portable monitor AND the product photos clearly indicate this is a unidirectional HDMI *TO* USB-C. For my portable monitor, I need the HDMI end to plug into my laptop and the USB-C end to plug into my portable monitor. This means the video travels FROM the laptop (HDMI) *TO* the monitor (USB-C). I plugged this in directly (i.e.; not through a hub), to eliminate any potential issues with a hub. However, even when I plug the HDMI end directly to the laptop and the USB-C end to the USB-C video port on the monitor, it DOES NOT WORK. I know my monitor works fine, as I did eventually find a cable that truly is HDMI to USB-C. This cable is clearly a dud. Sigh...

I purchased to use my phone on a projector. It didn't work and I wasn't sure if it was a bad cable or compatibility issue between my phone and the projector. I ended up buying another cable from my local big brand computer store that worked. So it was just.a bad cable. Shipping was fast and they issued me a refund no problem.

I needed this to connect a portable monitor to my work laptop. I travel extensively for work and utilize excel spreadsheets constantly. This cable enabled me to connect the portable monitor to my laptop for use as an extended monitor or I can select to use it as a mirror monitor. I have not experienced any image quality issues and the cable appears to be well made.
