It does what is supposed to do and looks good

I use the holders purchased from Amazon to arrange the curtains in my living room and kitchen very nicely. The material from which the handles are made can be bent in any way, so I can use them both for large curtains (living room) and for much smaller ones (kitchen). The convenient, magnetic closure of the handles gives me confidence that properly draped curtains will hold on all day.

These look really smart in use, only time will tell if the fabric cord with which they are wrapped becomes loose, as one or two other reviewers have noted. They are a little bigger than I expected, both the length of the cord and the ball-shaped ends.The cord is flexible but to a degree stiff, so more or less retains whatever shape you form it into. The magnets are very powerful, but no magnet will hold through very thick lined curtains - and anyway, I don't think they are designed for one end to be one side of the curtain and the other end the other side. The magnets simply connects the two ends together, and they provide a very firm grip.You could try using these without a hook behind the curtains to support the cord, but the tiebacks may then slip down the curtain - I think it will depend how much bulk of curtain you have, and therefore how tight the tiebacks grip the curtain when fixed in place. My curtains (across my front door to save energy in winter!) are naturally not very wide, and so I have fitted hooks behind mine, just like you'd have for traditional tiebacks. The advantage with these is that they are still easier to open and close - with the traditional tieback, you have to reach behind to unhook one end. With these the fastening at the front makes them very easy to open/close.I ordered in blue, grey and gold to decide which suited my curtains best. I can confirm that the grey definitely looks silver as I suspected; it's more of a gun metal silver than very bright, but the fabric coating is shiny and this gives the appearance of silver. The gold is quite a warm gold colour. The blue ones which I kept are a very rich darker blue, they look very classy. Very happy for now - let's hope they last![not sure why 'lightweight' is one of the three features Amazon is asking me to rate - 'easy to use' and 'value for money' make sense, but something like sturdy/durable would surely be a better choice?]

I don't know if I've lived in a cave for the last 20 years but I had no idea magnetic tie backs existed till I came across them on amazon. I'd been looking for curtain rings and these popped up. Had wanted tie backs but didn't want to make permanent holes in the wall and to wait another 6 months for the other half to put them up. These are absolutely perfect! Work a treat and do exactly the same thing. They look great and took all of 3 seconds to get the same desired effect. Will be buying more for other curtains in the house too

Great idea but did not fit my curtains

These tie backs are perfect, exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the grey/ silver ones and they look great really nice colour and quality they look alot more expensive. I have been looking for something like this for a while. We have recently had our walls plastered so I am very reluctant to put holes in the walls but I needed something to hold my curtains back when they are open in order to make the window area more stylish and these tie backs are the perfect solution. They are a great size and the magnet is really strong. My curtains are really wide and heavy and they manage to hold them in place without any issues.I would definitely buy more of these for my other rooms in the future they are really reasonably priced, great quality, and they do a great job of keeping the curtains contained. I also think the design of the tie backs is timeless, they will never go out of fashion or look out-dated.
