Krazy Kat: 1926 Daily Strips

The first two volumes were very welcome but they come with reservations about the print size but as you can see from the photo this volume has no issues on that front. My photo is not the best quality but that’s down to the cameraman, it’s only there to show the size of the strips.It’s a real treat to finally have the dailies available in a clear readable format. Previous attempts to publish the daily strips have mostly been poor quality, not the case here. If you like (or love) the Sundays from Fantagraphics I would say give this series a go (if you are not sure then start with this volume) Different to the Sundays but still Herriman and still brilliant.Finally thank you to the publisher for taking notice of the feedback. For some reason the next book in the series is only available on Amazon USA.

Het is fantastisch dat nu ook de dagstrips van Krazy Kat jaargang 1926 gebundeld zijn. Nog mooier omdat er per dagstrip een hele pagina is ingeruimd. Dat betekent dat de strips op groot formaat te genieten zijn en dan liefst honderden pagina's lang! Jaargang 1924 was al bijzonder, jaargang 1925 grotendeels nog mooier want groter afgedrukt en dit boek met de strips uit 1926 toont alleen maar strips op het formaat waar ze ooit voor bedoeld waren. Een kunstzinnige ervaring meemaken en in je kast laten pronken. In hardcover natuurlijk.

helemaal eens met Gjelt de Graaf , op deze wijze de strip uitgeven kon niet beter , hoop ook dat er meer delen gaan volgen , helemaal mooi als ook de zondagen meegenomen zouden kunnen worden .
