We don't do a lot of deep frying, so we haven't tried this yet. However, it appears to be very authentic and it should work well for when we try it.

I used this to fry some vegetarian cutlets. I expected it to be pretty bland, but it was tasty!It just looks like regular white flour but does a good job coating. I don't eat seafood so when I got this I was concerned about it having some kind of meat or seafood ingredients, which it didn't - thankfully! (I based this on the pictures and usage recommendations.)I recommend!

I used the flour coating to make fried chicken. I simply dredged the chicken pieces in the mixture and then deep fried them in hot oil until golden brown. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was delicious!

It says not a bread crumb for deep frying. Texture is not like flour and has no real flavor I feel. Directions on the packaging are not very clear. Was hard to find a good consistency. I would stay clear if this.

This is really good for making a light crispy coating for fried foods. This contains corn and rice starch, wheat flour along with baking powder. The instructions on the bag for the water ratio is for the whole bag so if you’re like me and you only want to use part of it, just take out the flour that you need and stream in water to make a smooth liquidy paste. You can also season this with your own spices, I do recommend at least adding salt and pepper to it. This is fantastic for chicken, shrimp, vegetables and just about anything else if you want to deep fry. It really produces a lovely light crispy texture on your food so it isn’t heavy or doughy

I love this stuff! It's great for catfish, shrimp, and chicken! It's super easy to use and it's absolutely delicious. It's quite a big and heavy bag of breading and will go a long ways. Any time you could use breading, just use this stuff and it's gonna taste good.

I got this because I was looking for a nice, light batter for fish and shellfish. I really like that this mix is very easy to prepare and use. It appears to be a mixture of corn starch, wheat flour, rice starch, and baking powder, which makes it light and coats evenly. However, the directions are in metric, so you may need to convert for your home. The package I received had a May 30, 2025 expiration date, so it is presumably very fresh and still has a long shelf life left. Most importantly, it is very tasty and sticks to the foods really well without clumping. You get a nice, light coating. So far I've used this for fish and onion rings, but I would also like to try it with some vegetables and other foods. I feel the price is very good at $0.23/ounce. I highly recommend this.
