The Best Newcomer To Motivational Pencils
We were really surprised by the quality of these vinyl-wrapped gift pencils. I've returned several brands' orders because the lead is broken throughout, the graphic wrapper peels off, the lead is offset and unsharpenable, the erases don't work, etc. BUT THESE ARE OUTSTANDING.Bulk shouldn't be bunk. The graphics on these are clear and look like bright chalk on a chalkboard. The graphics are clear and nicely drawn, imaginative, and depict fun and positive messages. They are smooth writers, erasers work great, and sharpen very well. Out of 240, there was only one that wasn't great, but at about 12 cents per pencil, it's not a loss. We bought both the motivational set and the reading set, and couldn't be happier with both.Kids will love them, and they have that chalkboard nostalgia that makes me want to keep a few, too. 100% recommended.

Pencil great, erasers all fall off
I'm a teacher and bought these pencils specifically for my literacy students. The very first day we used them, whenever a student went to use the eraser, the entire eraser end of the pencil came off. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with the eraser end of the pencil and I won't be purchasing more in the future.

What you'd expect
Let me start by saying I'm a pencil snob who teaches 5th grade ELAR, so I have LOADS of pencil experience. Ha!These sharpen much better than plastic-wrapped pencils and don't bother ym Afmat sharpener one bit. The colors are a bit more vibrant in the pictures than they are in reality. The sayings are cute, I have a chalkboard theme in my room, and they're a great fit.Where they fall behind, though, is in actual use. Like many pencils with cute designs, the lead is broken in several places through the pencil, so when you get to that part, it falls out. They need to be sharpened often, and as a teacher, ugh.They're cute for handouts, but unfortunately they aren't practical.
