d-c-fix window film privacy Tord – 45cm x 1,5m – static vinyl films for glass windows with a modern floral pattern – self-adhesive, opaque, frosted, decorative for bathroom, home & kitchen

I bought this for my bedroom so it worked perfectly but I didn’t realise how opaque this was going to be. You cannot see our at all with this stuff, although it does let some light in but that is minimal. I possibly wouldn’t buy this again but have made do with what I ordered and have left gaps at the top of the windows so I can actually see what the weather is like outside when I wake up!

A very attractive pattern in an otherwise stark bathroom, it looks really good. The pattern is bold and simple and adds a much-needed level of privacy to an existing (totally see-through) frosted window while still letting in the same amount of daylight. The film is thick enough to permit manhandling and repositioning and, thankfully, peels apart and lies flat again. To simplify matters, re-roll the film in the opposite direction before you go to position it - that way it will be flat when you go to put it up. I found it best to simply wipe the window with a damp cloth as spraying water on the glass made bubbles under the film. Also, if you don't get the size just right it can lift at the edges, and then it's a hassle trimming it to fit. I eventually discovered that cutting is easy-peasy if you peel off all the backing paper, stick the entire film to the window and then run the point of a pair of scissors lightly around the window frame. The excess film just falls away.

Really like this product. Have used the old stick on stuff in years gone by and it was a pain! This stuff is simple to install, all you need is a sharp blade/razor blade to cut the product to fit. I found it worked best by cutting the film slightly oversized, maybe 1 cm too large on each edge. Then with your finger nail, make a sharp crease at the window's edge so that the film is stuck to the glass right up to the edge and then when you cut with the blade, the film is cut right on the crease. Any creases/bubbles/errors are easily corrected by repositioning the film before cutting. I loved the flower design, even though the pattern is on a larger scale than I thought from the pictures, the large 'open' style flower is about 6-8cm across, my other half would have preferred plain. But as he didn't make the effort to order it, he can live with my choice!!

Really like all of the dc static cling products and have used two designs in my home, for both internal glass doors and external windows. At the moment I have this pattern on a large side window, and whilst it’s very pretty I think it would be more suitable for internal cupboard doors or small door windows as it doesn’t look like a net curtain as some of the other designs do. The dc Static cling is so easy to apply and effective. (I tried another more expensive brand of static cling and had to bin it as it just ended up sticking to itself!) I hope they bring out more designs.

Product arrived in good time and well packaged. It was easy to apply however, I was a little disappointed to find that the pattern is printed on the film as opposed to etched. I wanted it for our front porch door windows, to give us more privacy as we live on quite a busy road. I thought I would be able to see more through it as I believed the pattern would be etched, but because it is printed on, it is impossible to see anything out through it. This means that when the doorbell rings, we have to look out of the front room window or use a side porch window. All of that said, it looks very good, better from outside looking in than the other way round and gives us total privacy. Good price and good quality.

A greater range of widths and lengths of this product would be good, but overall I'm very happy. I followed the instructions and tips that other reviewers have mentioned (I found using a shower type squeegee and spray bottle of water over the top helped get rid of air bubbles and ensure it was fixed across the window). So far it's been on the windows for several months without any sign of peeling etc- and this is in a conservatory where condensation does get on the window.

Absolutely love this stuffSo very pretty have used it on my bathroom window and also for my patio table outside, have had compliments about it :) would highly recommend it is not sticky but a little spray with a water bottle does the trick and mine has not come off so far easy to use and great value for money
