Saves so much space!
With my older kiddos we always had a separate crib and changing table. It was never a big deal to have separate ones, but they do take up so much more space than a combined one. When I saw this crib I figured that it would be so much better to have that extra space back! This is even a bed that work for forever for your kiddo. It will convert from a crib to a toddler bed, day bed, or double bed when your kids get bigger. If you do choose to convert it instead of passing the crib down through kiddos you will need to purchase a conversion kit to make it into a double bed. That is available on their website it you ever decide to convert it into a bed.The changing table area does come with a waterproof changing pad that fits the changing table area. No need to go searching for one that actually fits. It also has a good amount of storage for diapers, wipes, and anything else that you want to keep close by.GRACO is a very well known name in the baby industry and they have always been quality products. This crib is excellent quality and feels like it will last for a lifetime. It is made out of New Zealand pine and painted black (or you can get white, grey, and brown) with excellent quality no-VOC paint. They even went as far test the crib for more than 10,000 chemicals and VOCs known to pollute the air inside your house. I love that they care about my babies safety and well being! This crib was easy to set up. Yes, it took time because its a pretty big piece of furniture. But it was excellently packed (and shipped), had well laid out step-by-step instructions for building, all of the screws and pieces needed were there, and all of the screw holes lined up where they were supposed to be. I really love having the extra space in my babies room that this provides. This has held up great so far and it feels like it will for years to come!

Simple and Straightforward
Package arrived with all parts and easy to follow instructions. You will need two people to make putting this together easier. Some of the pieces had to be manipulated a lot in order to fit together correctly.

Review for: Graco Fable 4-in-1 Convertible Crib & Changer (Black) – GREENGUARD Gold Certified, Crib and Changing Table Combo, Includes Water-Resistant Changing Pad, Converts to Toddler Bed and Full-Size BedI really dislike the Graco company personally but this is a pretty neat itemYou will need to purchase a mattress to go with this so factor that into your cost. You may want to set it up before getting the mattress or somehow figure out what "standard full-sized crib mattresses" means.Pros=Grows with your baby. Our last crib that converted into a bed worked great: crib, toddler bed, daybed, and regular bed. You will at least not have to upgrade for quite a few years or pass it on to the next child or family member.=4 mattress heights=great storage area to the side for wipes, diapers, blankets, etc.=drawer for storage away from the child=claims a bunch of certificates "GREENGUARD GOLD CERTIFIED, JPMA CERTIFIED: GREENGUARD Gold Certified" and some awards not directly related to this product=includes water-resistant changing pad=some unconfirmed nonsense about wood from New Zeland=don't have to have a separate changing table from bedCons=toddler guards need to be purchased separately=have to have enough room on one of the ends to reach the changing table. If the bed is blocked in on both sides, you can't use it.=made by Graco

Stinks terribly!
I bought this on Black Friday of this year (2023) for an absolute steal for our soon-to-be baby and was really excited about the crib/changing combo. I've bought plenty of Graco items in the past for my older kids and had no issues before, so felt comfortable buying the brand. Building it was easy...the only part that I struggled with installing by myself at six months pregnant was the adjustable metal springboard that holds baby's mattress up; the holes didn't line up exactly so I had to have my husband apply some pressure to it so I could get the bolt in.My biggest issue with this is that it smells terrible! It is set up next to my bed currently and every time I'm in the room, it absolutely wreaks! It's like it is off gassing even though we don't even have a mattress in it yet. It's been two nights so far and hasn't changed at all. If this thing doesn't let up with the stank, I'm going to be returning it soon, which is a huge disappointment.Edit 12/14/23: It took two weeks, but the smell is finally gone. We had to run an air purifier in the room on medium non-stop. I forgot to add in my first review that I do really appreciate that there are four levels for you to set the mattress at. The previous crib that I owned only had two levels, which meant I was killing my back as soon as my babies were pulling themselves up. The four levels add a little extra wiggle room.I noticed that there was another review after mine, so I'll address some of the issues from that. 1) This crib takes a standard crib mattress--it shouldn't be so narrow that you can't fit one in. 2) There were also extra pieces in my box, and I was all but tearing my hair out trying to figure out where they go, thinking that I was going to have to completely disassemble the dang thing to put them in somewhere. They were numbered and listed on the box contents page of the instructions but weren't part of the crib, the changing table, or the conversion parts to the toddler bed, which is disappointing. Turns out, they are pieces for when you convert the toddler bed into a normal sized twin size bed, which means you need to hang on to these for like four or five years! Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the toddler conversion pieces in the package and not this twin bed nonsense? Who is going to hold onto these for that long? Why skip the middle conversion? Oh yeah, because Graco knows that people are more likely to hang onto this for a toddler bed and NEED the toddler conversion pieces and that most people probably won't turn it into a twin-size bed (let's be frank--I can't imagine either of my older kids wanting to hang onto their crib for that long). So it's basically just a way to charge you extra for the toddler pieces when your kid is climbing out of their crib suddenly, and you're panicking trying to find the right pieces that will fit online so your toddler doesn't take a header out of the crib in the middle of the night. Expect to pay $50-$75 for those toddler rails. Because of this, I'm keeping my rating at two stars. There's so much profiting off of parents with products...shame on you, Graco, for not putting the toddler rails in.
