This item adds versatility to my Alexa Dot
My Alexa Dot is portable with this item. The battery lasts a long time. I enjoy the portability of taking the Dot outside. Great purchase!

Works perfectly
I was trying to find a battery powered Alexa and failed. This was the next best thing. Fits the Alexa perfect, has good battery life, and looks stylish. Only complaint is that it only fits an obsolete model but luckily I had one already

Distorts sound but can modified to prevent that
Works as it should as far as being battery power for an Echo Dot. It distorts sound though, so I end up dragging around a cord and plugging the Echo Dot into an outlet when I'm using it for music, which is how I use it the majority of the time. Disappointed.UPDATE: This was bothering me so much that I played with ways to prevent the rattling/distortion and found that some thin padding between the Echo Dot and battery base works pretty well. So I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars.

Perfect movable speaker
Great speaker quality and very functional. I purchased to use in the house and to also be able to unplug and use on the patio.

Streamlined look while charging at same time

Base not charging Dot
I bought this product for my parents. Plugging in the base, it charges completely, as indicated by the blue LED lights on the front. However, when attaching and plugging in their Dot (3G) it would not power it. The Dot works fine when plugged directly into the wall.

Exactly what I needed
This is exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted a way to move an Echo Dot to the patio to play some music outdoors, and this battery pack delivered. The cradle held the Dot in place firmly, which made moving it around easier than I was expecting. I was also surprised at the number of hours I could get on a single charge...8 to 10, probably (I didn't count it up, but it played a long time on a single charge).
