Great story about the history of Alex Haley's ancestry, recommended.

After watching the first series box set this was a must watch —- again like the first series I couldn’t tear myself away . I’m just sorry that it had to end . I shall watch again and again . Just brilliant .

i now have both Roots and The next generation on Dvd. I enjoyed watching both over the last few months , and I would recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing.I remember when the series was on tv in the 1970s , but as I was only young , when it was released , as I am now older , I think I enjoyed it more , and realised more of what they are about.

shows you what life was like for black people although it was much worse and hope slavery is rid of forever around the world. I saw roots back in the 80s and it still a great watch.

It was bought for a friend at work who wanted it. He said it was good.

Bought both the series of roots for my Wife as a Christmas present. They were very well priced but she hasn't had the opportunity to sit & watch them yet. (had them 7 months lol). If they are good copies, you won't be hearing any complaints from me.
