Great little tool.
I found this cutter extremely useful to use once id set it up. Other reviewers saying its not good, well they’re not using it right. Had no problem with the fence as i put it inline with the blade. Cut my quartz tile accurate and quick. A great addition to my tools for the money. Professional finish used correctly. If you want better. Pay more. Its that simple

Great tile saw at a good price
There are some very conflicting reviews here aren't there? Some of the bad reviews are due to user error, for example the guide is fastened under the table but in from the side and the screws do reach properly if you do that.Let's face it, this is a wet saw and is not suitable for use indoors unless you're in a wet room.If you fill with water according to the instructions you will get lots of water on the deck and dirty water will be sprayed to a certain extent away from the saw. Those 5 star reviews saying you don't get wet have obviously got the blade cover right down over the tile. But that's fine if you've lined up the side fence and are cutting blind. If you want to cut and see the cut line, then the blade cover will need rising slightly because there is no way you can see a line through the 'transparent' blade cover! It gets far too dirty immediately! So, yes, when needing to see the cut line you will get a little damp if you are straight on axis!I found the cut on tough 7mm porcelain tiles very reasonable with little chipping using the supplied blade. The only time I got excessive chipping was when the water reservoir needed topping up.Those folks getting excessive chipping need to make sure they are using enough water.I found the table large enough to cut my 30cm by 60cm tiles with ease.Overall this is a good value saw which, if used properly, produces nice quality cuts.

Bad review? Written from a bathroom fitter
No idea why there are bad reviews. The standard blade supplied is diamond and cuts porcelain perfectly with no excess chippingI also read another review saying the screws were too small and the tile gets stuck in the guide? This is because the guide slides in from the side and isn’t fixed to the top of the machine. ! A tiler would realise that.People saying you get soaked from the water? What rubbish. It’s good. Buy it. Nice large work table too

Great saw, shame about the guide
Cut an entire bathroom of 9mm porcelain tiles before I even checked if it was up to the job. Blade is strong and durable. Motor is quiet and has built in stall/overheat protection if it gets jammed up (like when I didn't clean the sump out often enough). Only gripe is the removable guide. I used a different one as it was entirely unsuited to heavy duty.

Don’t bother to buy
I found this product not very good at all in fact rubbish. The blade chips the edge of the porcelain tile I had bought a separate butted blade for porcelain as the one supplied is for ceramic. The cutter is cheap as it’s poor quality you get what you pay for, the bar holding the safety shield stops the tile as you pass through and I was always trying to re set it, the safety cover is low so you can’t see the mark to cut, when raised enough it just sprays you completely with water, the guide supplied was absolutely useless as it is very difficult to align properly. This cutter may be ok if your cutting small ceramic tiles but it was useless for what I needed on a larger porcelain tile, in fact I ended up with a hand grinder and a diamond blade cutting dry, this gave me a better cut so the vitrex cutter was useless. I will keep for the garden if I need to make brick slips but No good for a good job on a larger tile. Luckily it was for my own house so Not a problem just a waste of money. From a professional tradesman stay clear.

Nice motor, shame about the fence.
It has a quiet induction motor, a solid bed and a large water tank, but the fence is in chocolate fireguard territory. The fence doesn't clamp square and it is very difficult to set the fence distance.I struggled on for a couple of weeks with the fence, having to measure from each end of the blade to the fence to try and get the fence set parallel to the blade. Yet the tiles still got trapped during the cutby the fence not being parallel. The tiles also caught a lot on the riving knife even after resetting its position a few times.Gave up in the end and bought a RUBI ND-200. Much better fence arrangement and worth the extra outlay IMHO.

Not for thick porcelain!
Bought this saw for 20mm porcelain Garden tiles. Worked a treat for most of the job but at the end it was cutting out half way through a cut even with a new porcelain disc. I fear it is now scrap. For normal ceramic tiles it is probably fine but for thick hard tile get a pro saw.
