This review is geared towards a beginner, like I was before I got to know my system. Like the title suggests, you should buy this unit if you plan to tri-amplify your system. If you need help interpreting that concept, it means that your highs, mids, and woofers will all have their own amplifier, respectively.If you're picky about your sound like I am, you might even decide to take advantage of the subwoofer output for a full range (neighbor angering) sound. This is a mono channel, but if you're buying a crossover you should already know that won't effect performance negatively.This box gives you all of the right controls over the crossovers. It offers high, mid, low and subwoofer level controls, 30hz cutoff for the low and subwoofer channel, phase inversion for each channel, and two independent crossover points. One point will cut the high and mid frequencies and the other will separate the mid and low frequencies. The low and subwoofer crossovers will allow for some overlap if you want them to.I'll admit that I actually use this box for a bi-amplified system. To achieve this, I've set the mid/high point wide open to allow all mid/high frequencies. To protect my PDBT28 tweeters, I simply used the passive crossover that came with them in the box. With a little tweaking on the sound board's preamp, they sound just fine until I manage to install an equalizer in my line. If your primary input is a mobile device like a tablet or cell phone, you can also use the 6-band digital equalizers that are in the device's settings.

EMB PRO 3 WAY CROSSOVER + SUB WOOFER Control EBX79.Pros: good price for what you get and decent buildCons: Not exactly what is declared and has some quirks, like- the low cut filters (for Mids and Hights) are just 6dB/oct. and not 12dB/oct. Be careful do not burn your HF drivers!- the inscriptions regarding cut frequencies are meaningless, 7kHz means in fact about 5kHz and so on.- the 30Hz cut button for Low channel in fact disengage the filter when is pushed and vice-versa.

Works perfect. The hum noise everyone is talking about is a power issue. I have a power switch that takes care of any dirty power. I use this to DJ professionally and it works just fine. I use it to take out the high end of music out of my subs

great crossover for stacking those 4 new emb amps,i run mine thru my voco pro sonic maximize,then to that great deal on that blast king compressor,then to my emb crossover wow the sound is unbelievbeable.if you want a pro sounding system emb offers it to you at a great price from audio watts on AMAZON.

Work well for me

I liked this crossover, especially for the simple (rca) connectivity. I didn't love it though, I believe that I may have received a defective unit because my unit gave out a hum, I tried different cables and to no avail nothing. I have never heard of this brand before but I took a chance, it was a great product just not for me.
