Have used Kiss Maximum Hold and loved it on my daughter and I 4C hair. For that reason figured this Kiss Extreme Hold braiding gel, would hold even stronger. I used for knotless braids, and slick back ponytails. Nice smell, leaves no residue, hold is great, would buy again.

When I opened the jar I thought — meh this is just a glorified light hold edge control rebranded as braiding gel.Welp, it definitely lives up to the hype. What’s interesting about it is that it FEELS like it won’t do much of anything, because the product is almost soft feeling. but let me tell youuuu— this thing helped create the neatest parts and most put together twist style I have ever done. It’s been about 6 days since I installed the style and my little one’s hair still looks like it was just done today. A tiny bit goes a faaaar way so this one jar will probably last possibly 6 months if I re-do these twists every 4 weeks as planned.It can also be used on edges! I was amazed when I used a tiny dab on her edges one morning and after a full day at school her edges were still neat, no flaking, and it’s not a hard hold.For reference I’m using this on 4C medium-thick hair.

It holds good looks really nice when done. But after sweating the stickiness goes away and leaves residue. Overall it holds nice but the work I do cause me to sweat alot my edges are done. Good value for the money but I need something with a little more hold . I'm not a hair stylist this is my own personal review. I will purchase again if necessary.
