PelikanSouverän M600 Plunger Fountain Pen - Black/Green

This pen is definitely a grower. This is latest addition with Kaweko,Platinum3776,Waterman Carene, first feel was like the Platinum, not an immediate affinity. Over the weeks the Platinum has grown to be my favourite because of how "we" now write. This Souveran is the same, very light in weight, extremely smooth over any paper and happy with any inks. Edelstein tanzanite looks very nice. Diamine Onyx looks official.The nib supplied is M and is the same width as the Carene M, and the Kaweko BB, The Platinum nib is M but gives a fine line and that is what I want with this superb pen. As Pelikan will change the nib size for free within the first four weeks I shall go for the F or FF after advice from Pelikan. Grown to love it in a week.Edit: M nib now changed to Fine(next day turn round) thanks to Stone Marketing. This F nib writes exactly how I want, very similar to Platinum but certainly more expressive. Souveran can write with expression because the nib flexes beautifully to gives traces that vary just as much as the input varies. You find yourself emphasising points as you write because the nib follows exactly how you feel. Very clever. The Platinum writes beautifully but doesn't have that magic flex that shows.I've nearly talked myself into another Pelikan model.

Two years of daily use and this is an absolutely superb pen. The nib is wonderful and writes freely at a wide variety of speeds angles. The pen is very easy to refill and doesn't leak or leave an inky lid or fingers. Thank you Pelikan - I love it!

A gem of a pen. I started with a m -200 which is still doing good after 3 years. This is my first m - 600 and I have to say it is worth It. Just be careful of getting the right nib size as this mediam writes more like a double broad nib. I have used lamy 2000 and carene in the past and this pen will sit right next to them when it comes to a workhorse pen. I gave this pen one star less becuse it came in a little cardboard sleeve ( that explains the price) but it was brand new and unused. A must have for pen enthusiasts out there.

Lightweight, well built and smooth writing pen. Delivered fast and with minimal packaging. Very enjoyable writing implement!

A typically collectable pen.

As an avid pen collector the Pelikan brand is one of my favorites. Fantastic piston fill system and in my opinion one of the best nibs available in any modern pen. The merchant was excellent delivering the pen quickly and in perfect condition.

This was a graduation present for our son and he was highly delighted with it ans says that It writes beautifully.

Maybe it was just my luck but the pen i received wrote very poorly (worse than a 10£ parker). I was very disappointed as the pelikan nibs are famous for their smoothness. It's a very beautiful pen though and feels nice in the hand. It was just not enough to justify the price so I ended up returning the item. I also wish they had offered the option of selecting the type of nib wanted as i found the medium one on the thick side.
