The design is very pleasing and the stainless steel seems to be of good quality and should last. You can retrofit this shelf if you have proper Dremel tools; also patience, laser level helps, and not going too deep past your water proofing layer!!Make one side approx 1/2” deep (don’t go past bottom side of grout layer), and other side 1/4” deep. Make a cardboard template of the shelf and trim it until you can slide it in without bending. Then transfer the size of template to the steel shelf and cut it. Grout it in or silicon it.

We're in the middle of a bathroom remodel, and this item randomly came up on my Amazon hunting. We ordered it, before the tiling started, and we weren't sure it would find. Thankfully the Tile guy got it to find perfectly. Our contractors have even been impressed by it and asked where we found it, and they took tons of photos of it, so that they could recommend it to other clients.Initially we were told that we'd have to just use tile for the shelf in the niche but that didn't see strong enough to last years. This piece will last a long time. It's very sturdy.

This is such a better solution than a shelf made from solid material. No more wet soap! No buildup in the comers! The shelf blends in well with the tile and matches the edging we used. Our niche was a bit wider than ideal for this shelf, but it sits in the grout lines (other metal shelves don’t fit in 1/8 lines) and we reinforced with silicone for a study install. I’m glad we chose this shelf.

These are great in my shower niche because it allows the stuff in the shelf to dry and the shelf doesn’t hold water.

Simple yet a very functional design. Bette than Kerdi niche shelves.

The niche is from the floor to the ceiling and I put 3 shelves in. For regular wall height, I would use 4 shelves. My shower has a soffit that was to costly to remove. The back of the niche is the same tile as the floor and the sides are the subway tile from the rest of the shower.
