Bad.
The media could not be loaded. 𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: Middling image quality, except for HDR mode. Terrible microphone.─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:These impressions are basically my thoughts from the attached video review jotted down into notes:📹 The picture quality is quite abysmal without HDR active. With an average amount of light in the room, it looks like the ISO is cranked into the thousands, and the picture quality is just grain and blown-out highlights.📹 HDR makes the picture quality quite passable; good even. However, it seems to lower the framerate of the video, as well as add latency.📹 The microphone is deficient in quality. I've heard integrated laptop microphones that sound like professional microphones compared to the 960 mic.📹 The accompanying and mandatory software suite is annoying. It's not plug-and-play; you must install the suite AND extra services to get everything functional.I say this with certainty, the price-to-performance ratio is weighted highly towards the former.

No Mac Software, but fantastic at low light
The instructions say to install the HP Accessory Center from the Mac app store, but the app doesn't detect cameras. So I went to the HP support page for the product and it only offers Windows downloads. It isn't the end of the world since it does support plug and play functionality on the Mac, but I can't access any of the promised field of view adjustments or tweak any of its settings.Using OBS I was able to crop the video to simulate a FOV change and when inputing it at 4k it still looks great even "zoomed" in. In a well lit room I do think it's a bit contrasty and doesn't look much better than my existing 2k webcam, but in low light... WOW, the colors, skin tones, and details look fantastic even when just illuminated by just my screens. Compared to any other webcam I've used, it is amazing without any weird color patchiness or distracting digital noise. I really wish they included Mac software so I wouldn't have to jump through hoops feeding it through a virtual camera software. And this is the main reason I'm docking a star. There are some of there are some smaller nit picks I have with it... The magnetic privacy cover does not have a home when the camera is in use, so it's too easy to lose. Also, while the silver finish matches my Mac Studio perfectly, there is still a lot of white plastic which slightly cheapens the look. But the video is great and I do like that the included USB A to C cable is nice a long and matches the overall color scheme.Overall, if you're looking for something you can use with just monitor glow and or gaming lights this is a very strong contender. If you are using a Mac however, you may want to consider something that has full software support. Hopefully they'll add software support for it in the future.

Image quality isn't great
I'm comparing this camera to a few other logitech ones that I have owned. Initial setup was smooth and it is easy to mount on my monitor. It seems well built and the overall aesthetic is nice. The image qaulity let me down a bit. With HDR turned off then the quality suffers as expected. However, if I turn it on, then the framerate suffers. I did a test Zoom call with a colleague and it was always a compromise between framerate and quality when playing around with the settings.

Need more testing
The media could not be loaded. I tested in my diner table and I was very disappointed: the quality is not as good as I expected. I will try again on my office with real "office" conditions but on low light conditions the image quality sucks.Giving it 3 stars at the moment because as stated before, my diner table maybe is not the right place to test the camera but hey on the other hand many people are doing work from home and maybe have this type of informal setting. Adding a video of my built-in webcam.Another con is that privacy cover is a loose piece that I can bet will get lost in a few weeks. Other cameras have a slide-cover which is more convenient as is always attached to the body of the cam.

Let's provide an accurate review.
The media could not be loaded. Be cautious reviews below are inaccurate - when they stated no auto tracking included. this is incorrect. HP offers a suite of tools, AI, Auto Framing, Auto Focus, Color correction, etc. this is bundled together to create the "HP Presence Suite".4k60 will likely never become the standard and newsflash, 4k does not equal video quality. HDR, Color Correction, AI Light correction, Lens (glass), sensor, these are the things that have significant results for higher quality video. This uses comparable specs to the Razer Kiyo, Elgato Facecam, and even the ever popular logitech streamcam.Webcam provides 18mm f/2.0 lensI have a c920, c930, brio 4kpro, sony A7RIII, this really does compete well with my brio. Please do not shy away from this camera just because 4k60 is not available. Do some reading you will see 4k60 is just a buzzword, and will likely never become the standard. Was torn between 4 and 5 stars, so likely a 4.5.

Video quality is very good!
Definitely the best webcam video quality that I have ever tried. The video quality is so good that I worry much more about my acne on live calls. The mic seems to work very well and I'm heard clearly. The mounting mechanism works very well. Definitely a must have to step up your online video calls. Works well for everything I need and hard to find any downsides.
