We had another container for dog food that had attracted some pests (mice) because it didn’t have a strong seal. This container feels super durable and secure and we don’t have to worry about odors attracting any unwanted guests. It’s also cheaper than the “vittles vault” products, while being the same (if not better) quality and larger capacity. Would purchase again for other storage where we need durability & a good seal—whether for pets’ or humans’ stuff

Nice tight seal on the product. Maybe I misunderstood some thing I thought this would hold a 40 pound bag of dog food. I put in a 31 pound bag of Purina one and filled it to the very top. Still held the whole bag just barely. I was hoping for a little extra room. But overall seems like a great product. Very happy with the purchase.

Either some "rocket scientist" at the factory went rogue and made some relief cuts to make installing the outer ring easier, or these missing parts of the sealing surface are a sanctioned part of their assembly process. Either way, it makes that nice rubber O-ring in the outer snap-on ring USELESS and the claims of being "airtight" an impossibility.I can't believe that these are advertised as "airtight" and suitable for food storage. If you purchase one of these expecting to have safe storage, unfortunately you can expect it to allow in bugs, moisture and air.It's a shame I had to return it, as it's an otherwise nice container.

I was going to buy another pet food container brand but then I read a review on this one and they mentioned this one was cheaper and better. I can't compare but it is a great product. We had a 38 lb bag of dog food and it all fit in.

We had a container that mice easily chewed through the top. So far this container has survived.
