Fence for Hot Wire Foam Cutter (Hercules/Proxxon)

I added this tool to help with cutting tall foam pieces with my Hercules hotwire foam cutter. I placed a bit of foam in between the groove guide pieces to it has more friction to hold in place. I also have a heavy piece of aluminum I set on it which also helps it to retain the setting I desire. No need to tape in place.The working surface it perpendicular to the bed. Pieces move smoothly across it. Excellent tool to have.

Works great for a 90° angle cut. My issue with it is that it is so lightweight I wound up having to tape it down with masking tape to prevent it sliding, even with my hand on it due to how slick the sides of the mdf material are. I don’t regret the purchase though.

This otem does not fit the Proxxon. It is much to tall. In edition it only loosly fits into the guard rail.

It fits my Proxxon perfectly! I have been using a 2 inch tall wood box that I modified to make a short fence out of...and have been wanting a real fence for a while now. I'm on a fixed income, so I couldn't spend $30, especially with a huge rent increase!But when I found this one for only $15, I had to take a chance! No reviews to look at, so it was a slight gamble. It paid off. I would HIGHLY recommend this product over paying $30 elsewhere.All of that said, one tweak could be made...Instructions. It had none and I had to assemble it myself...and I used all purpose glue to make sure it stayed together, since I won't be traveling with it.Website photos helped me figure it out in my old age.BUY IT!!! You will not regret it!
