I grabbed this Calhoun NHL Surf & Skate Tie Dye Ultra-Soft Hoodie in a size XL for my Penguins fan husband. I plan to put it away until Father's Day. For the purpose of this review I tried it on and fell in love! I secretly wear it while he is at work! It is super soft and cozy! 100% cotton, so it's breathable, you don't overheat in it! My husband typically wears a large, but I went big to allow for shrinkage. To protect the graphic and the dye job, I washed this inside out and in cold water. I tumble dried it on low. It washed up even softer, there was a little shrinkage and a little color fading, but still looks and fits great! It's getting harder to find 100% cotton sweatshirts, so I was excited to find one so cool. This is going to be a huge hit come Father's Day! For size reference, I am wearing the XL in the picture, before it was washed and dried. I am 5'4" and weigh 150 lbs. Obviously it is quite big on me, but I am not the intended recipient....or, maybe I am! 😉

We are huge Tampa Bay Lightning fans. We go often and I’m always borrowing a friends jersey to wear to the games. It’s freezing in the arena. Now I have a great hoodie. It’s warm but not super heavy weight like a jersey, it does not have soft fuzzy fleece on the inside. I do love the blue and white tie dye, though the colors are slightly washed out and not as vivid as the true Lightning jersey colors. All NHL or major league team apparel is expensive. I actually thought for $65 this was reasonably and comparably priced for an officially licensed NHL hoodie. Its perfect to wear to show team support. It’s rather big on me, I’m 5’5” 120 lbs wearing a mens medium. I should have gotten a small, but something are better worn big:) Also, my husband can wear this size, he is 5’10” 175 lbs. The sweat shirts run true to size and are roomy.
