Gro-Sure 20500185 Shady Lawn Seed, 10 m2, 300 g, Green

This is our preferred seed for our very shady garden. It works well but like all shady gardens it will require some maintenance. We keep re-seeding the gaps during the growth season as a result have a lovely green dense grass. Highly recommended.

I followed a tip I found where I mixed the seed with soil and sand in a wheel barrow, then left it to germinate under a cover for a while. Good news is that this worked and really cut down on seed lost to birds but it took rather a while to start to germinate. Once it did I spread it on the lawn and it took very well.

I'm afraid it didn't do too well in my shady spot but may do better in yours.

I bought this seed to go underneath my daughter's trampoline as the grass had completely died and I was left with dirt.I raked the soil and scattered the seed.3 weeks later we have grass!

I've bought two packs of this seed. Followed the instructions exactly. Total rubbish. Germination less than 10%. Birds don't eat it but it just sits there and rots. Definitely avoid.
