Elegant Choice
It’s hard to find these at a competitive price but Amazon had the best pricing. Very nice light. I chose the picture frame mounted option (you can also wall mount as both options are included in package) . It is difficult to tighten enough to eliminate movement of the arm but picture is above fireplace with very little chance of inadvertent bumps. This version is corded. I plugged it into a wifi plug and it comes on automatically without my having to rummage for the in-line switch.

I can't say enough good things !
These lights (we purchased two) are absolutely perfect and exactly what we needed for a dark wall in our living room. Two levels of brightness and neither are blinding but instead provide a wonderful ambient glow- it is not irritating to the person sitting under it even when it's in the brighter option. While we agree with the others that instructions need to be much clearer (specifically with the knob that holds the light onto the frame), once hung the frustrations are gone. We do wish that adjustable knob could be tightened down more as the light can swivel relatively easily. Otherwise these lights are just perfect! Fantastic light, especially for the price; similar lights are easily twice as much. You won't regret this purchase.* pic 1 is the more dim of the two options and pic 2 is the brighter optionWe purchased cord covers (as seen in pic) to hide the cord and used the doubled sided tape from that purchase to stick the dimmer switch to the wall, making it more accessible.

Balanced advantages made it a best choice twice for us
I just installed the second of this model picture light. It seems to have the best balance of features, function, appearance, and cost of the many picture lights that I considered. As mentioned often by other reviewers, mounting the light is not all that easy unless you are decent with hand tools.I highly recommend attaching the light to the picture frame rather than the wall. For most nice frames with beveled borders, this will probably require that you add a wood "spacer" to the frame as a base for the light bracket. (I'll try to upload some pix) This will be more work initially, but will have several advantages:- maximizes the distance between the light and picture (good).- makes moving/rehanging the picture way easier.- allows you to adjust the light-to-picture relationship before you hang it on the wall. Some advice before making a picture light purchase: think ahead how you will hide the power cord! If it is a serious problem consider a battery-powered picture light, but beware; most of these are cheap and have their own set of problems!

I think they hold better and I had them in my shop
1. The first picture is provided with the lamp. It shows how to install the light to the wall. If you prefer to install the lamp to the picture frame, turn the "Mounting Bracket" away from the wall and towards the picture and use the short screws to attach it.2. The "INSTALLATION" picture says in the second paragraph for frame installation to "center the bracket on the top of the back of the frame and install with screws provided".What the instructions fail to point out is that if you are installing the light on the wall you should also "center the bracket on the wall where it will be approximately even with the top of the frame and center of the frame and install with screws provided". Make sure you install the "Mounting Bracket" level or your lamp won't be level. If you install the "Mounting Bracket" too low you will lose the ability to adjust the height of the light. The illustration provided shows the light adjusted to it's highest position. It cannot be extended any higher because the "Junction Box" is nearest the "Mounting Bracket".Keep in mind that the area below the "Mounting Bracket" needs to be kept clear if you choose to lower the light. In other words, do not attach your frame to the wall directly below the light "Junction Box" or you will not be able to lower the lamp.3. The lamp comes with the hardware shown in the picture along with two "bumpers" shown in the "INSTALLATION (picture 2)" and the "Mounting Bracket" (shown in picture 1). There is also a thumbscrew that goes into the "Mounting Bracket" which is not shown. The thumb screw goes into the "Mounting Bracket" at an angle and may be hard to start but it does fit. This picture shows two short screws for mounting the lamp to the frame. The other two screws and plastic wall anchors are for attaching the lamp to the wall if you have wall board. If you have wood walls use screws without the wall anchors. The allen wrench is for adjusting the light bar to be parallel to the wall. Those other two bolts and brackets are a mystery to me.4. I didn't use the two screws and wall anchors shown because I prefer those pictured here. I think they hold better and I had them in my shop. The ones provided should be adequate.A plastic anchor with a wide flange on one end requires a drill bit the same width as the narrow portion of the anchor to create a pilot hole. Once the anchor is pushed into the hole, flange end out, place the "Mounting Bracket" over the wall anchors and insert the screws into the anchors. The screws will expand the sides of the anchors out, securing it in the wall.5. This is the light installed at my house. I installed it about three days ago, turned the light on and left it on at the high setting and it is still working.6. Measure the distance from the "Mounting Bracket" to the bottom of the "Junction Box" with the "Mounting Bracket at the top of its travel as in this picture. This is the amount of space needed to allow the greatest amount of adjustment. Keep the mounting hardware for the picture out of this area.Things to consider; Mounting the light on the wall will bring the light closer to the picture than mounting it on the back of the picture. If the picture is hanging on the wall already and the wire is in the way consider hanging the light on the frame or shorten the wire on the frame and lower the hanger for the frame. The only way to move the light away from the frame is by the way it is hung. My light is mounted on the wall and I believe the distance away from the frame is sufficient (about 6 inches)I hope this helps someone.

Did not match description
Beautiful looking light with a lot of character from a brand I have used before. But....the light does not mount well - the screw does not provide enough tension onto the rod to keep from moving. In addition, there is a box on the bottom of the fixture that will cause the light to protrude downward at an angle because of the picture frame, or the canvas itself. The real disappointment however is the description stated the light was dimmable and came with a remote and had two light settings - high and low. My light had none of those things and I found the light to be very, very dim to begin with. I now notice that they have changed the description, but I have a screenshot highlighting some of this. I suspect they changed the product years ago and never updated the information. Regardless, I have to return it, primarily because it is too dim.
