The pictures don't show just how large the base plate is(14"x14") powder coating is extremely thin but overall appears to be a good build. I'll add more once I've got it installed and actually get to use it.

The lift came in today in a heavy-duty package. One nut had come off during shipping. Had to replace the cotter pins with stronger pins, required 7 new pins I already had. Assembly was easy, even though you don't get instructions. Once assembled, the winch motor would not work. No motor winch available to replace it with, so they are sending me another whole unit. Might consider buying the lift and supplying your own winch. Receiver plate has many predrilled holes. Many reviews here describe problems with the winch or winch motor. Will see what replacement does. It is expensive for them to ship the replacement and return, but it is their dollar.

I love mine. Took me 2 hours to mount it and 2 hours to wire it. I added remote control to get rid of the controller and wires. I lift 400 to 800 lb air conditioning compressors with mine among other things.

Basic construction is very HD and the pendant controller is well made...Where are the bolts?!

This thing works as advertised and is extremely sturdy. Assembly is straight forward. A little bulky but needs to be to lift heavy animals. But overall I am Very satisfied.
