Not your momma's Mac n Cheese but we enjoyed it
First understand this is chickpea "pasta" so if you're expecting anything like classic wheat pasta move on.This is a healthy alternative to a classic mac n cheese made with all organic ingredients. The pasta is made with chickpeas. The sauce is made with butternut squashAs such, the taste and texture really does not remind me of what I would call a classic "mac n cheese" which is much heavier, greasy and a major comfort food.It says it has cheddar cheese in it but I tasted primarily the butternut squash. The chickpea pasta is VERY soft and while it may LOOK like pasta it does not taste like pasta nor have the mouth feel of pasta. The overall taste of it is more of a veggie side dish than a pasta dish. But with all that being stated you know what? We liked it. We warmed up two of them (only takes 60-90 seconds) and added it as a side dish with our main protein and sauteed spinach and we both had no problems finishing it and enjoying it.I tasted it first and adjusted my spinach to be curry based and they complimented each other nicely.4/5

Looks too different
Our toddler refused to even try it because it looked strange. The squash is in chunks in the with the noodles which turned her off. It smelled nice and cheesy and was very easy to prepare. We will try it in a few months when our baby is ready to eat foods.

Butternut squash mac and cheese - Not great but good source of veggies
The listing doesn't really do great at describing this product. This is a butternut squash mac and cheese with chickpea bits in the mix, has an off color but that is from the butternut. This wont fool your child but could be dressed up as something else if you are trying to sneak some veggies in. Smells decent when cooked and is an easy microwaveable meal/snack in a pinch. I can see if your child enjoys the flavors of butternut squash and chickpea this would be perfect but in our case likely wont finish the box.

Strong butternut squash flavor
The listing on this does not do a great job of really representing this stuff. It's "mac and cheese" but it has a "full serving of veggies!" Well in this flavor the veggies are butternut squash. The flavor is very strong on the butter nut squash side and not so much on the "cheese" part of mac and cheese. If you don't like butternut squash (or your kid doesn't) then this isn't for you. I (an adult) also chose to add salt because the sweetness of the butternut squash was a bit much for a pasta for me.

Did not get a Mac and Cheese
The instructions were easy to follow and it is a quick and easy meal. The ingredients are all organic. For me the taste reminded me of spaghetti-O’s (but a mild version of that), I really did not get a Mac and cheese flavor. The texture of the sauce was grainy, which I did not like, but I was quite surprised at the texture of the noodles being spot on for a pasta.

Mac & Squash
I was hoping this tasted similar to Mac n Cheese but all I could taste was the squash.Could not taste anything remotely cheesy. The texture was like noodles but reminicent of baby food. Not a big fan. Maybe for babies, but Big kids? doubtful.

My niece likes them
Tasty food. I got them for my niece to try and I wasn't sure if she would like them as she can tend to be a picky eater and she liked it so much that she asked for another bowl of it. I like that they are individually packed and that you can heat them up in the microwave.

Won’t buy again…
I had high hopes for these, sneak some nutrients into my daughters beloved Mac and cheese. Unfortunately she won’t touch it. It doesn’t smell the best or look that enticing. I tried it myself and thought I could eat it again if I was in a rut and didn’t have any other options. Wouldn’t be something I picked though. I enjoy noodle substitutes typically too, black bean being my favorite. I think it’s the cheese sauce that’s the problem for me. But, try it for yourself - you may love it.
