In general I was looking for cheap guillotine cutter (instead of roller cutter). This one looks good, but this is where almost all good things ends.Problems:- plastic side walls are not at 90 degree to the cutting line - you need to align paper very carefully to get 90 degree angle.- cutting require a special technique: you need to pull the handle a bit to the left and apply clock-wise rotating force to have proper cut- someone did mention that the scale is not aligned properly (need to confirm that), but it is also very hard to see where exactly is the cut line- the plastic shield/protection is loose and doesn't feel like it will last, but it does a job of protecting your fingertips and providing a way to keep paper in placeAt the end, you can properly cut with it, but it require a lot of attention to do it straight and not to bend paper instead of cutting.I think it is overpriced for that quality.

To begin with the blade was very sharp but soon it began to go blunt. You could not put many sheets of paper under the blade as they would not get fully cut. The guard snapped at its contact point and so became useless. This really should be used for light jobs.

Awkward to use - not half as good/sharp as the orange one - guard is flimsy and keeps falling off. I only now use it on A4 paper length ways and use my little orange one the rest of the time.

Purchased in August barely used it doesn’t cut more than 8 sheets 80gsm as advertised nor does it cut one sheet over time with extremely light and limited home use leaving a clean edge. I ended up replacing it with another and chalking it up to experience or lack of let’s say… although it was a warehouse purchase and fortunately I didn’t pay full price for it I’m never going to financially recover from this! Avoid this product it’s just not fit for purpose

Wanted a guillotine just for trimming photos, saw this on Amazon marketplace for less than £7 and thought why not? It arrived promptly. As it said in the write up the box was a bit battered but the machine itself was in perfect condition. It also works fine. Other reviewers of guillotines moan about how many pages it will or usually, won't cut or the blades bend. If you want office or school results get a pro machine! I, on the other hand , cut one photograph at a time and this machine will be fine for just that.

Works pretty well. It is a bit difficult to tell exactly where the cutting line is but you get used to it. Sometimes it appears to get blunt but after a few more cuts with no paper in it seems to fix itself.

Not as described. You will be lucky to cut more than one sheet at a time. The guard is flimsy and you have to try and twist the blade to get a good cut. Would not recommend. Pay a bit more and get better quality and performance...

the guillotine is a well worth item works exactly as advertised and very easy to work with and a very good priced article .
