I personally use this product to help recreate alternative/traditional photographic processes in my art studio, but it's uses are legion. A natural product, harvested from the acacia tree, it is more commonly known as the food additive E414 where among many other things, it is used to bind sugar to the fluid in a can of fizzy pop. Whatever you plan to use it for, 1Kg should go a long way.

I've used this product for years for watercolour, with it making a clear or slightly yellowish tinted liquid. I ordered a 5kg pack in December with them all being the same batch code, with the powder being an almost flour like consistency. When mixed up, it went to a dark brown gritty consistency which cannot be used.I've ordered bags since to see if it was a one off dodgy bag, but they're all the same batch code and all the same consistency. I now cannot return the bags I got in December and I am stuck with 3kg of dud gum arabic.Really disappointed with it, won't go back to buying any.

Good as hum Arabic goes I use for marmoset monkeys and it def easy to mix compared to granualls

I've bought this brand of gum Arabic several times previously and been happy with it, but the quality of the most recent bag is really poor. The powder dissolves into a very dark coloured gum solution which is unusable for my purposes as it affects the colour of items it is added to.
