Another solid APC product, which was easy to install and run.Ships With: RBC123 battery back, CD with software, documentation CD, installation guide, one set of rack mount support rails, Smart UPS signalling RS-232 cable with RJ45 connector and USB cable.Notes:• The complete unit weighs about 17 kg with battery pack inserted and may not be suitable for all wall hung 19" housings, depending on weight restrictions.• The 19" housing should not be shorter than 550mm depth, as this model (750VA) is 400mm deep without any connections.• A 19" housing with less than 600mm depth may prevent installation of the included rack mount support rails, as I found out (but was ok to install at the bottom of the housing, supported by the internal rack rail).• Once the unit is placed into the rack and the battery was left inside, the battery must be removed and installed the correct way around.Tip: Remove the battery pack prior installation to reduce weight, turn around 180 degrees as indicated by the label (turn over back to front) and place back into the opening, done.Using the button(s) on the frontpanel interface, a smart looking, informative display, switch the unit on and you're more or less all done. The battery received with my unit was pre-charged at about 90% and didn't take very long to show the full 100%. However, to be sure of remaining backup time with your setup connected, a battery "calibration" should be carried out, either via the interface or the software which comes with the unit. This will provide a more accurate estimation of the runtime remaining, in the event of a power loss. If the load is under a certain level, it is not possible to start the calibration. Only a minimum load of 20% to 30% will allow the user to start the process.Features, too many to mention, APC UPS units get smarter and have more possibilities every generation, well impressive, allowing plethora of settings, including controlled shutdown of connected systems (subject to setup and connection).Optional extras:SMT750RMI2U sports an APC smart card slot, which accepts either standard network card APC AP9630 UPS Network Management Card 2 or a APC AP9631 UPS Network Management Card 2 with Environmental Monitoring. AP9631 provides additional USB connections and two optional sensor connections for APC AP9335T Temperature Sensor or APC AP9335TH Temperature & Humidity Sensor. The smart card slot is "coded", which means other cards than AP9630 or AP9631 may not fit into the slot.

A quality piece of kit that has been running now for some time without incident.
