Not a toy.
Bought this to demonstrate some science for my granddaughter. Brilliant! The one litre bottles worked better (went higher) than two litre.

Away from trees
Awesome and so much fun, keeps my two boys entertained for hours...you can experiment with different bottles and more less water. Only advice is it shoots in random directions so use with plenty of open space. Rescued from 3 trees already!!!

Great fun.
Fill the bottle 1/3 water, connect the compressor and stand back. You will need loads of room. It could land anywhere.

Incredible
Had one from science museum as a child that never went as high as this!! The recommended 50m radius was not enough the contain this rocket on a calm day. We were lucky to recover it from nettles and had another stupendous launch. An incredible box of bits paired with a 1.5 l pop bottle and track pump.

My son loves it
Seriously - don't underestimate how far this flies. We tried it in the middle of a field and we still had to rescue it from peoples' gardens. Beat my expectations for sure.

Have yet to find a bottle that the kit works with.
Have tried 4 different plastic bottles but none of them have threads that work with the kit. Maybe I've been unlucky?

Went off like a rocket!
So we bought this for 5yo kid and Grandpa to enjoy in the open space just behind the house. We put a 1L bottle onto it. First launch was a bit of a flop; Grandpa lost his nerve when pumping and pulled the tube prematurely, knocking over the rocket and sending it on a glorious maiden flight two feet in the air and eight feet horizontally over the grass. The second launch was a bit more successful. We left it until the pressure pushed the tube out - and **whooosh** of it went. We were watching from an upstairs window, and saw the rocket fly up and past the house (the tube coming out I think knocked it over a little), and out of sight to the road at the front.Three days. We could not find it for three days of searching. Put the call out over WhatsApp to see if anyone could find it. Gone. Second flight-into oblivion. The 5yo was inconsolable...Four weeks later it appeared on the doorstep. A neighbour across the road had been cleaning their gutters out and found it in the back gutter.TL;DR: This thing can **fly**. But the fins are perhaps a bit wobbly; you should find a stable launch platform. Also - tie a long ribbon or piece of string to the neck of the bottle - it will help you more easily track the trajectory to aid recovery.
